  • OP will you be stocking the Anker or Ravpower banks that support usb PD via usb c?

    • +4

Yes, we will have Anker USB-C power bank in late June. We will run another pre-orders next month.

      • Does that include the PowerCore+ 20100?

        • +3

Yes. This is Anker's only USB-C power bank at the moment. Why would be an attractive price point for you? :-)

        • +1

@CableGeek: Nice! Attractive price point: min 20% of RRP: https://www.anker.com/products/A1371012

        • +1

@Navgsc: FYI Amazon-equivalent price is $95.22 AUD based on current exchange rate plus GST. We should be able to beat this in an OzBargain deal but not by much — shipping in Australia is more expensive. Also Anker's US Amazon price is pretty much the lowest in the world (it's not RRP by any standard).

        • +3

@CableGeek: (it's not RRP by any standard).

You can also buy it on the Anker's US website for that price so that is the US RRP price

        • @live_1991: AnkerDirect operates both online store and Amazon store, and the official site also runs promotions. This is very different from RRP, which shouldn't include periodic promotions.

Anker doesn't have a RRP set for Australian retailers. The Amazon price fluctuates too frequently for us to set it as a reference price. For now, it seems like a reasonable starting point for pricing.

        • @CableGeek: if Amazon would ship the Anker PowerCore+ 20100 to Australia, I would've already bought it (currently USD65.99)
So if cablegeek sells the AUD equivalent around that pricepoint, I'm ok with that :)

  • what type of cable is included in the 20,000mah powerbank?

and whats the max power output?

    • +1

It comes with a Micro USB cable. Max power output is 12V/2A (24W) for QC 3.0 and 5V/2A for other devices.

  • dumb question but are there any external power banks that charge a 15" macbook pro touchbar ?

    • +1

I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro Touchbar and I've tried a couple. With a good USB-C cable (e.g. Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB-A) you can get 12W with any Anker/AUKEY power bank sold on CableGeek. This will charge the MacBook Pro very slowly but it's not impossible.

You can probably wait for our upcoming Anker USB-C power bank launch. It should be able to do 5V/3A with PD.

      • Cool. I'll keep a look out for when it launches

Link for the 20000 goes to the 10000

    • Fixed. Thanks!

  • +1

Looking forward to the 20100 USB C as well. It's funny how shit Anker's own site is compared to Amazon when it comes to providing information. Anker doesn't even state how heavy these things are whereas Amazon does in a neat table. (400-500g)

whats the difference between the AUKEY PB-T10 20000mAh Power Bank with QC 3.0 and Anker PowerCore Speed 20000mAh Power Bank with QC 3.0? I want a large mAh because I want it for travelling. I have a Samsung S7. Recommendations please?

    • +1

Simply different brands — Anker is more well-known and slightly more reputable than AUKEY. I personally believe that the Anker power bank has better design. Also the Anker model supports the 24W charging mode for QC 3.0 (not seen elsewhere). Well, for charging S7 there's no difference at all.

      • About the AUKEY, does it allow passthru charging?

        • +2

No, it doesn't. We haven't seen any power bank that supports this from major brands.

  • I know the Samsung S7 only has quick charge 2.0, so will those powerbanks charge at that speed? Also will the powerbank itself charge at a quick charge 3.0 speed when plugged into the wall charger?

    • QC 3.0 is fully backwards compatible with QC 2.0, so it will charge your phone perfectly at QC 2.0 rate. The power banks in this deal does not support QC 3.0 input (input is 5V/2.4A max). If you need a power bank with QC input, this is the one: https://www.cablegeek.com.au/shop/power/power-banks/anker-po…

      • That one only has 10050mAh. Will there be a new one released soon that will have the QC 3.0 input and 20,000mAh?

        • There is one available with 18W QC input at 26800mAh. We will probably get some stock at the second half of this year due to long lead times. TBH A USB-C power bank makes more sense because all USB-C power banks support 5V/3A input.

        • @CableGeek: i see. I dont mind waiting for a USB-C power bank that has more mAh. So will there be a 20000mAh one coming out later this year? Does the power banks that are USB-C come with USB-C cable?

  • Will this be good enough for a Switch? i have a xiaomi 10,000mAH QC 2.0 but shopping around for another one, how does this one compare?

    • +1

Switch does not support QC so it doesn't matter. It's best to get a USB-C power bank. We will progressively release a few pre-order products next week, including USB-C power banks from Anker and AUKEY.

  • n

  • would the anker powercore+ charge the xiaomi 13? I read a few forums indicating it might.

    • PowerIQ always charges at 12W max for non-QC.
USB-C can charge at 15W with PD.

So it may be a matter of charging speed.

  • Looking to pair this with the Powerport+ 5-Port / 60W USB-C Charger with Power Delivery. Do you have any coupons for this?

    • Pre-orders must be placed separately because we ship products as they become available.

Unfortunately we don't have a further pairing deal. This product represents the best deal we have, and the USB-C charger is also very close as our last deal (which was an absolute bargain) and we probably will never sell it for cheaper.

  • I'm after the 10,000mah model, any chance I can squeeze onto the pre-order list still?

    • The products will be generally available from early next week, starting at $54.95. The pre-order offer has ended due to strong demand.
