T-Dimension - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Problems?

So I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge at T-dimension roughly 6 months ago. Was just working just fine and was asking myself why didn't I buy grey import earlier rather than Australia stock. It seems that I jumped the gun, because recently, the phone just freezes and gets caught in bootloop. I've tried flashing it with new firmware, but to no avail and all of the other "tips" on tech forums such as clearing cache.

Was just wondering if anyone else that bought the S7 edge from overseas had the same problem?

Also, might have to send it back for warranty, but I've read really negative comments about T-dimension's warranty system and customer service. Also, 8 weeks (roughly the time it takes to repair) is a long time to wait. Do you think that sending it for local repair is worth, rather than dealing with the hassle of sending it back overseas?

Currently a little bummed, since I could have just paid an extra $150 and gotten local stock with warranty, but only lessons learnt from this.

I bought an s7 edge from an online grey market reseller and it was the worst decison ever

    1. Pink Screen, ended up dying completely
    2. Cost $48 bucks to return and it took 6 weeks to fix, numerous emails back and forward and horrid customer service
    3. Phone returned and issues resolved, sold it for $650 on gumtree and let it be someone elses issue in 6 months
    4. Learnt to not deal with grey importers for phones ever again
    5. My company now supplies a phone anyway, so every 12 months its an upgrade :)

    6. Returning it is your best option - but how did you pay for it, use your options if by paypal.

    7. Could try a chargeback against them and get a full refund - paypal might be your best bet if they accepted it
    8. Australian Stock would of been much better, I believe these grey importers must get either old / reject stock cheap in huge shipments as any Aussie Samsung I have owned has never failed within 6 months - Hell my old Galaxy s2 lasted 4-5 years before the O-Led screen suffered severe burn in, by that time the phone was destined for the garbage bin / hammer of death.
    • I bought it 5 months ago. I believe that the ebay only accepts returns within 30 days unfortunately. I did use paypal to pay for it. Do you think it's possible to issue a charge back even though i've had the phone for 5 months? It's been causing me a headache and I will probably avoid grey imports in the future. Thanks for your advice!

      • With PayPal, you have 180 days to claim. So, you literally have 1 month left to lodgd a claim.

        I suggest you dobit ASAP.

  • I feel your pain. T Dimension are horrid to deal with. Unfortunately its pretty much the only option if you need a dual sim high end phone
Something I also discovered after my Lg G4 incident was that the extended warranty you get on your visa or mastercard gold or platinum only applies to Australian purchases/warranties.

  • We have had a couple of gray important stories coming out of the woodwork lately. If you are thinking about it you probably want to contact the approved repairers for the product and see what the international warrantly situation is before buying outside standard distribution channels.
