The obvious answer would be the price difference!
If you're not in a rush, at this price point, I'd wait for Myer/DJs to do EOFY sales with an extra 20-40% off clearance items.
Last sale I picked up 3 Hardy Amies, a Milana and a DJs branded tie (all from DJs) for $21 each (after the extra 40% off clearance). 100% silk and the Hardy Amies were hand made in Italy (for what it's worth). At this price point I have more faith in DJ's home brand for $21 than $2 ties from Long Dong, China as @porkandbeans has pointed out.
Otherwise look at Charles Tyrwhitt or T.M. Lewin - if you click through the deals that they have on OzBargain you can get free shipping. The Charles Tyrwhitt silk classic plain ties are 2 for $79 and make an excellent knot/dimple for the price.
Most of OP's products are cotton or polyester! Surely no OzBargainer will pay $37.99 - 25% for a cotton tie - not even Member Tech and cars …
