Which insurance company provide cover for accidental damage to Television?

I just recently purchased 75 inch 4k TV and I am afraid of it being damaged by kids while paying.

I am looking for contents insurance which will cover accidental damage to screen of televisions. Apart from Suncorp, which insurance company offer this cover?

Thanks in advance.

  • We had racq and Coles contents. They both had this cover. You need to ask for it and it may be an extra charge but all should offer it.

    • Just reading Coles pds and they don't offer glass breakage which forms part of television.

      • I thought they did. RACQ has for sure.
Call them and ask , start with calling who you are currently with.

Edit.. Coles contents ( not home) insurance says …Cover for accidental loss or damage to your contents (including anywhere in Australia - up to $2,500 per item, and 20% of sum insured)
And they do offer glass breakage.

hang it up high, insurance companies hardly pay out nowadays

I'd be much more concerned about the TV falling on the kids if you think there is a chance of them damaging it.

    • It is wall mounted TV but kids sometime pay inside and I am afraid them of throwing ball or any toy towards TV screen.

In OP's defense the 75 inch 4K panel cost more than the kids

You're going about this the wrong way. The kids are the cause for concern.

    1) purchase bubble wrap.
    2) wrap kids.
    3) wrap toys.

    Pro tip.

  • This. Because of wii

  • most do, you just need to ask them when you get a quote

  • Most insurance companies offer this type of cover but it's usually and extra to your normal premium.

  • The screens are fairly strong it will be fine. Unless the kids play with bricks lol.

Put a Plexi glass in front of the screen.
