(i know, no way near as good as the original)

    Note that:
    a) It is in Sydney (Bankstown Aerodrome to be exact),
    b) The dates are: Wed 25th Aug 2010, Wed 1st Sep 2010, and Tue 7th Sep 2010,
    c) The times are 5:45pm,
    d) There is an age limit (18+),
    e) Caveat: "if we do not have availability for your chosen date, then we will do our very best to offer you an alternative. If you do not hear from us within 10 days of your chosen show date, then your ticket application has not been successful", and finally
    f) It's Top Gear: AUSTRALIA.

    My friend went to one of these tapings. There is lots of standing around and waiting. He said he would not ever do it again and he is a hardcore Top Gear fan.

      i went last year, it's kinda fun though. it's true it does take a long time, and all the girlfriends (especially those in high heels) were well pissed off by the end of the taping (almost 4 hours). I would go again to see if the new hosts are any better, and this time take the mates coz missus aint comin.

    I went to the live show a couple years ago when the UK cast were doing their world tour. It wasn't worth the money.

    This one is free, but my experience with the original bunch at their live show inclines me to think it's still not worthwhile.

    I can barely sit through an episode of the Aust version let alone stand up for it! Let's hope it improves with the new hosts.

    The tickets have been available for about 2 weeks.
    If they are still available demand must not be that great

    And I can't believe I missed the second series with James Morrison in it….. Meh I guess the American TV shows kept me occupied when not watching Top Gear (UK).
    And dunno much about Shane Jacobson but how much of a car nut is he?

    I hate Top Gear Australia.

    In fact they should remove "Top Gear" from the title and call it something else because it's an insult to the UK version.

    I dont know that this actually qualifies as a bargain - its sort of more like a draw (not everyone is guaranteed tickets). I wont vote neg though because i actually think its a good one and might sign up myself :P lol

    i didn't like the oz version either, but heck even the Russians made a Top Gear of their own!
    nothing is as good as the original, so to be fair you need to rate it on it's own merits……..3/10 for effort, 2/10 for execution!
    ps i hope the new series is less 'blokey' and more SUPERCARS!!
