    Electric mustang eww

    • +2

Agree. Who TF is paying minimum 60k for this?

  • Even my mid life crisis can't justify one of these in red.

  • -2

Did they ever fix their atrocious crash test rating?

    • +3

I think that was the real mustang

      • Yeah just checked the E report, came in pretty good

      • Lol the real Mustang.

I don't understand why they are calling this model a Mustang when it's a completely different class of car. It looks more like a hybrid SUV to me, and nothing like a Mustang!

  • Swap my Falcon for this beast?

  • +4

I actually like the way this car looks visually. Can't comment on performance.

    • +2

It's actually pretty good, just not so much on the value side as the Chinese are killing the rest of the workds car makers. It was missing a heat pump (for those in colder climates) which they have reminded in the new model

The newly released Zeeker 7X for example.

What advantages does this motorcar have over, say, a Camry? Which I could also afford and already own.

    • +1

      Camry is half the price

    • +2

      Homer is that you

    • Camry is not an EV.

    • Not that you'd want to, these things are hideous, and the Camry actually looks decent, but……

You could probably pick one up today, instead of waiting 1-2 years for a new Camry.

Of course, as with all Toyotas, you could pay $5-10k extra for a brand new Camry, that they licensed yesterday and drove 10km to the dealer, to sell second hand at a premium to people wanting to jump the queue….

      • People will pay extra for a Toyota?

    • These types of questions are just asinine. Why bother?

      • -1

OzBargain’s for Camry chat and neg farming. Whirlpool’s for being serious. Off you go…

    • with the Camry …. you have to drive a Camry

  • +11

they should never have called this car a mustang- it's ruined their heritage

    • +1

It's closer to a Chrysler Crossfire than it'll ever be to a Mustang. What a terrible decision they've made.

    • +1

Their "heritage" survived the 4 cylinder fox body phase.

      • +1

Very true, but the Fox body did come in a V8. Styling was specific to the 70/80s I guess.

The Mach-E is just a complete imposter, why they tried to ride off of the Mustangs legacy is a joke.

    • +1

So did the ecoboost. That should never have been an option.

  • +4

    What is an MY 23.75?!?

    • +2

A car made in the last quarter of 2023 (at least that’s the only way it makes sense to me lol)

      • That’s exactly what it is.

      • Nope, that's not what it means. It means a car released after "0.5" but before the next model year. "23.5" doesn't mean a car released in the middle of the year, it means a car released after 23 but before 24. It can be at any point in the year.

    • +1

It's another way of saying a car that doesn't sell very well lol

    • This "23.75" nonsense is stupid. In the USA you have whole model years, and SOMETIMES but very rarely you have "0.5" model years, but 0.75 "quarter model years" do not exist there.

  • +4

    E stands for Eww 🤢

  • +1

Think I'd rather get on the Kia EV6's at $59k… but in true OzB firm, I will try to resist and satisfy our need for a second car by accepting a family members offer of a 2012 VW Touareg! ha.

  • +1

When I clicked the link, I didn't expect to see a generic SUV

  • +2

    BYD SL7 way better value

  • +3

You’d have to have rocks in your head to buy one of these.

    • At least better looking than Tesla and got a head up screen 😉

      • -1

Yeah right, I don't think so.
It's an inferior product in every way. Any Chinese EV would be a better buy

        • Chinese manufacturing process!= EU/US/Japan, as they have patented processes to make things correct, less rust, long lasting etc. China does catching up but i let you decide that. They cheap for reason, not just because labour/material cost than other counterparts.

Having said that, if I want this car, I rather have the ICE version.

        • How is it inferior? The professional reviews are generally favorable… apart from the price it seems solid

  • Honestly, I'd be embarrassed that someone sees me in this.

  • -4

    EWWLECTRIC No thanks!

    • +1

Being electric is probably the only positive this car has….

  • This or Cherry?

  • +1

    MY23.75 are they serious?

    • +1

lol, especially as we're nearly in 2026 now.

  • +1

After recently selling my 22 Focus ST, id actually consider the ford brand in the future. Their driving characteristics, fun factor, sync 4 and quality.I was realllyyyt pleasantly surprised. Almost regret gettin rid of it. Id actually consider this car after my existing one over a chinese EV tbh

    • +1

After recently selling my 22 Focus ST, id actually consider the ford brand in the future. Their driving characteristics, fun factor

Unfortunately Ford no longer make anything like your Focus - have a look at their current line-up, there's nothing with driving characteristics or fun factor any more, except the actual Mustang which is absolutely nothing like your Focus ☹️

      • Their lineup in general is pretty poor. Essentially all it is, is ranger/everest and mustang.
