    ** PERSONAL EXPERIENCE **

This is a great product. Great battery life (although it's more like 3-4 days, not 5 days as advertised). App is fantastic.

However - my experience with this particular model is that it has an issue with the external rubber - it eventually bubbles and peels off.

Fitbit support has been amazing, I sent them a photo and they replaced it within a few days. Great!
However, it has happened 3 times now! It even happened with my partner's first fitbit. We live in Melbourne so I doubt it's anything to do with humidity.

This last round of replacements, Fitbit support let me know that they're no longer making the HR and support is being dropped. So if the "skin peeling" issue happens, we'll be out of pocket and have to purchase a new one.

So far this last replacement has lasted about 3 months. Which is more than the previous 2, which lasted about 2 months each.

It may also be an issue with the Black coloured HR, as my finances first replacement was Plum (instead of her black one), which has lasted 6 months without issue and still going strong.

Anyway, so that's my "buyer beware" notice.

Same experience, really not fit for purpose as a 24/7 wearable
Mi band 2 just arrived; first day today but its great! Barely feel it on, has a screen, phone/sms/app notifications etc, meant to have longer battery life

I've found with support, even if a product is discontinued they will offer a 25% coupon off a new current model. They are pretty good with replacing and general customer support.

Also to add that the strap stinks after a while.

I have had the same experience also. Both times I had a Black Charge HR. Would be interesting if it was only that colour that was affected!
Wouldn't recommend this product for that reason.

  • Wow, this is really cheap. Normal price is around double.

  • Used this one and xiaomi band 2. Xiaomi wins on every category from battery life to accuracy. Too bad I need fitbit for a few other apps such as qantas assure else I would just stick to xiaomi band 2.

    • actually, i think you can set Qantas Assure to sync with Google Fit, and Mifit to also sync with Google Fit. So it should still track

      • I am also using AIA Vitality and it's not working with google fit. That's one of the reason I had to go with fitbit.
