    I think its just a mod running on the IW engine tbh. Another excuse to not do it on its own.

      So you want them to recreate an entire new game engine and then create COD remastered all in that instead for no reason at all.

        Not what was meant by the comment.

        IW engine is the current build of the cod engine, assets were literally imported into a mod packaged and are then imported to run through the game as a modification.

        So requiring IW as a base to run, it's not so hard to fix, it just means to do a standard release to make a standalone executable package of the engine to run MWR, it's quite doable (can literally do a strip down and change or remove the disc check) but I don't think they can be bothered.

  Just remember, since this isn't an Aussie version (it's UK, right?) you'll need an account from that region to download MW:R, might be a deal breaker for some who don't want a million accounts on their machines.

  You'll obviously be able to play the game on your main account though.

    not so sure about that one alot of the UK DLC is often interchangable so im a little unsure as often times they are the same

    if this was a US copy tho the ansawer would be a resounding yes !

    I recently imported Nier Automata (PS4) from Base.com and it came with pre-order DLC in the case. I redeemed the code and its digital contents no problem on my AU PSN account.

    I have redeemed PAL-UK DLC several times in the past with other imported PAL-UK games on my AU PSN account. I have also redeemed PAL-UK full game codes on PSN (review codes) and they all also worked fine on my AU PSN account.

    I get what TheDukeofNukem is warning about, however - a small number of games do actually separate UK's region from AU, and usually we can only find out if it does or does not works from testing.

    Anyone on OzBargain specifically import the PAL-UK version of Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition and can confirm they redeemed the PAL-UK code for Modern Warfare Remastered on their AU PSN account successfully?

      Well shit guys, that's good to know, might be safe to assume we still adhere to the old school region 4 in terms of digital content. That would be great, I'll have to look into that in the morning.
