Where to See Samsung Galaxy S8 Demo before Release?

Hello, fellow OzBargainers! I was in the city (Sydney) yesterday and dropped into the Samsung store at Westfield Pitt St to see if I could have a look at the S8+ design and colours before pre-ordering since there are only three weeks until release. I asked the employees there if they had them on display and she tells me that they'll be on display on the 21st of April :(
Anyways, I was browsing Droidlife website this morning, and it appears that in the USA they already have S8s on display at Bestbuy.

Does anyone know where I can see a demo in Sydney before 21st April?

Was it too hard to reply in a courteous manner?
"Seriously… Oh, come on… Really? Wow.. Geee.. Speechless…."
      You sound like a twat.

All the Samsung resellers here in London has fully functioning demo phones in stock that customers can play with.

So in answer to your question, yes.

Fly to LA on the current deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/300248
Then its only 21 minutes to the nearest Best Buy on public transport.

    Or maybe just wait?

    • Haha. I'd love to wait, but after my last phone was stolen seven months ago, I've been using an S3 with a half cracked screen which is now frequently doing weird things like getting stuck in bootloop until I take the battery out and is pretty much a pain the ass now.

Additionally, I'd love to get the Gear VR and $50 oculus credit which can only be obtained with pre-ordered Samsung S8s.

      • Korea. Closer I think.

My friend just took a picture of one for me haha

Yeah it's pretty lame but unfortunately fairly standard from previous releases that stores do not have even a non-working dummy version of the phone until the day it is released (and sometimes for a while afterwards too). This means you only have pictures to go off before you make your colour choice and commit to purchasing it. It would be nice if they had dummy units in stores from the day it is announced/when pre-orders open but in reality, doesn't actually happen.

      That's a bummer.
I agree, even dummy units would be great so at least the customer can get a feel for exactly what they're about to buy, especially when the asking price for the products are $1199 and $1349 :(

      Thanks for the informative reply.

I want to see what the colours look like too.
With the S7 the promotional renders looked completely different from the real product.
Though I'd say you don't need to see them in person, a video or photo will do.

You probably wouldn't even be able to see the back of the phones if they were set up for demonstration.

We could describe what they look like, if that helps.

    • I've watched a few videos on YouTube by some people that were lucky enough to be able to do a hands-on review and so far I am liking Orchid Grey the best. I was initially attracted to the Midnight Black but I remembered what a nightmare the Jet Black iPhone became for people.
