  Any idea on the quality of these knives? I've tried to find some online reviews, but couldn't find anything for this specific set.

    I've no idea, but even for me these seem a bit too cheap.
    I would stick with the reputable brands like Wusthof or Global. In fact, I'd stay away from knife blocks altogether and just buy a really good quality all-purpose knife for $200.
    I've had really good service from Wusthof in the past, they have a lifetime no-questions warranty, so you don't need to bother with receipts. I had a problem with some going rusty in the dishwasher (had no idea that was a huge no-no) but they still replaced them no problem.

    YMMV, I'm no chef, but I do need kitchen knives now and I'd still stay away from these.

    They're not great for holding an edge, but as long as you don't mind sharpening every week or so, I'd say pull the trigger and get a set.

  REP, you are going to send me broke with these deals. I already ordered the Circulan frying pan set of 2 (which are great to use). I ordered the 28cm grill pan (as future gift). I have no idea what I would do with these knifes, but at this price…..

    I have had some bad experience with a red handled Circulon non stick frying pan bought from Myer. The surface lasted less than my Bigw Tefal.
