  • I just got my tax return deposited into my account and am mighty tempted to buy this O_O

  • its nearly 60 bux delivery for me though in Melbourne.

EDIT: excellent deal post though btw.

  • Couldn't find any coupon codes to work with this. Awesome deal though :)

  • +1

Coupon doesn't work, neither does the 10% paypal one. Coupon will work for other kogan products though

  • any idea what video formats the usb supports and if its also ntfs?

    • +2
    • Expect only basic formats.

      • Yeah…just read the GadgetGuy review. They make a quick mention at the bottom of their article:
"It played my test JPEG photos (with the colours a trifle overblown), MP3 (but not WMA or WAV) music files, and DivX, AVI and MPEG2 videos."

  • +3

10000:1 Dynamic contrast ratio is quite low, which probably explains low price.
Btw, 40" version mentioned above and which can play video from usb, has Dynamic contrast ratio 50000:1.

Kogan crapware. Avoid like the plague. Their TV's are nasty and often use older Chinese generic panels many MANY generations old, at least. You get what you pay for, but you still get garbage with Kogan for that price.

    • yes, don't buy junk

  • Hey, I know I'm slow, but can someone please explain posts like this.
This deal was expired before it was even posted. Posting time shows 6:30. So if only available on that day, can't do anything about it.
So even for one of the most epic posts I have seen, what a (epic?) waste of time.
FYI $779 now, so $80 disc =~ 10% - Nice price, but meh.
Anyway, I must be missing something.

    • The offer was actually posted yesterday and expired at midnight on Friday 20/8/10 so it was posted & valid for about 6 hours or so.

Sometimes special offers are gone in less than an hour.

EDIT: I edited the description to show it finished last night.

Don't even touch these guys. If you want a cheap TV buy one at Aldi.

    • I bought one of these for $400 total recently

      http://electronics.shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?_nkw=24%22+vision…

Not saying it's an alternative to this deal, just saying that for a cheap TV it has a nice screen.

      • I wonder if the seller of that ebay one is hoping that people have momentary dyslexia. Keep in mind that's 24", not 42"…

        • Like I said, NOT saying it's an alternative. Just pointing out that there are cheap brands out there that have good TVs…

  • Kogan is rubbish. I have happily bough no-name brand TVs before and been happy with it but I had to return my Kogan after 5 days (it cost me) because they said the read pixel in the middle of the viewing area wasn't grounds to have it replaced. Regardless the quality was cheap and nasty, the menu rubbish and the picture very average. never again.

    • good to see an end users view, not just someone saying cheap rubbish without backing it up.

bit late but more relevant for the new deals that point to this page.
