  • Great headphones for flying, and much smaller than the over the head ones… but be warned, the cable strength isn't that great, and using the included case (at least with my QC20i) led to the cable bending to the point that it broke unfortunately :(

    • I had a pair of QC20's from a couple of years ago and had a neoprene-like case.
I replaced them last month (lost the first pair), and the new case looks to be a more protective and stiffer material and and maybe slightly longer (though could be my imagination on the length, I often imagine things ato be bigger than they really are!).

Old case was grey and grey, new case is black and turquoise.

    • Cable length seems more than fine to me. The case I have, is the original grey one, tight fit, but not so tight as to cause cables to bend tight and break.
Love these a million times more than my over ears.

        He didn't say length.

        • Oh yeah, strength, not length, good on me. Strength seems fine, no signs of any kink or damage in the two that we have owned in the past 2.5 years.

    • Did they replace it under warranty?

    Thanks!

Been looking at these in case the "laptop ban" gets expanded or if I'm taking a ME3 flight to states, which is likely. These might be the best noise cancellers that you can still take on these flights.

  • Replaced by QC30.

You cant say its a true replacement for the Q20 because if you wanted to watch the inflight entertainment unit thru the earphone you cant because there is no headphone connector.

Disappointing cause i wanted a wireless solution.

      • I have been using the QC30 on the plane secretly with a bluetooth transmitter. Works very well for me, no latency and the transmitter has about 6 hours battery life, so I am very happy with it. I got my transmitter from here while I was travelling in Japan

        http://www.yodobashi.com/サンワサプライ-SANWA-SUPPLY-MM-BTAD4N2-Bluetoothオーディオアダプタ/pd/100000001003169280/

        Others might work as well.

        • Any difference in sound quality with the Bluetooth transmitter?

        • @ca6leguy:

The sound quality is fine for inflight entertainment system and I have only ever use the transmitter in flight. What concern me is the latency, nothing worst seeing the explosion or dialog in a movie out of sync with the audio. With this transmitter I got, I see NO latency, if you choose to buy alternative, that is something to keep in mind.

  • My ears are happier with MM301 Sennheiser than $10 Chinese product but I cannot try this earphone as out of reach. Sad….

  • jesus, $315 for earbuds.
i dont know why but $315 for headphones sounds more reasonable than $315 for earbuds, maybe because i feel like headphones are more durable or something…

Plus 1 for the noise cancelling of these earphones. Best available even now after I've had mine for 2.5 years. So easy to sleep with them in. Try doing that with over the ear headphones. You can still listen to music when the battery dies just no noise cancelling. No issues with the cable. Can't recommend these highly enough.

I have a pair, but only for use on flights. I wouldn't have bought them for any other purpose.

    • I use them when washing the car & vacuuming the house, and I have some far cheaper Jabra C820s ANC for mowing.
But, no, I would not have purchased them for anything other than the flights.
