I'll need to drink more coffee before I understand why anybody would want that.

I think if you get official letters from say the ATO, you won't want them RO to toss them into the bin. Problem is you won't know which letters are spam, so it could get costly.

      From the website:

      Mail handling: $1 / mail
email notification and mail scanning included

I guess $1 covers someone ripping up the envelope, putting the documents through scanner and then send an email notification to you. Might be very much automated, but probably not something I'll do for $1.

Pretty sure it offends the Corps Act to wrongfully state your principal place of business where no business is actually conducted. Not that ASIC ever prosecutes it, but still.

    • A registered office and principle place of business aren't the same thing, though they can be the same place.

      As ASIC state:

An Australian company must have a registered office to receive correspondence. A registered office does not need to be the same as the company's principal place of business, but it cannot be a post office box.

      • Yes, and look at the post. It advocates the virtual office for both registered office and principal place of business.

        • look at the post. It advocates the virtual office for both registered office and principal place of business.

Where is that suggested in the post?
An alternate business address is allowed to be used in the public register:

Use of an alternative address in the public register
If your principal business address is your residential address, and you are concerned that publication of your residential address on the public register will put at risk your safety or the safety of your family, you can nominate an alternative address to be included in the register. The alternative address must be an address within Australia at which you can be served with documents. This must be a street address and not a post office box.

  • Fraudsters use these so called prestigious CBD virtual address to receive packages shopped from using compromised credit cards.
