    dodgey SB, I got the 7-11 one,
    Tried the Amazon one twice, both times it says "unsuccessful" but looking at my StG transactions I've had 3 x $50 transactions.

        nah, i just tried again and it worked.. it was SB app that failed at payment. I suspect multiple transactions for the same amount from the same vendor (SB) are flagged as suspicious/duplicates

        I'll dispute the failed ones if they are there tomorrow.

    Just noticed that I had checked to use my cashback balance so my spend was below $50. Does anyone know if I buy another GC to make up the difference covered by the cashback balance will it track over both?

        Yep I just looked closer at the T&Cs and saw that. Was in a rush to get it done as I'm currently on a plane with intermittent WiFi so needed to get it done quickly while the WiFi is still working. Ended up getting another $10 card so I'm not quite getting the full 10% but I'll take 8.3% as a consolation prize.

    If you are getting the 7/11 GC, make sure you activate it and add to Google/Apple wallet before you go to the store.

    There are a few hoops to jump through and it was pretty painful trying to do it all standing in 7/11 while my car was blocking one of the fuel pumps!

    besides fuel and $hit coffee, what else is out there at 7/11? I've stopped going there for fuel as the 25c max cap was total bs since it was introduced.

      the 7-11 GC can be used in any fuel stations (not just 7-11, confirmed working in ampol and coles express ), as long as the MCC is in service station or convenience store category

          I have personally bought AmpolCash $100 for $95 when they had them 5% discount in store, a few weeks ago. Bought multiple of those no dramas, just that their EFTpos machine sometimes have a hard time reading my Apple pay for some reason (and the clerk also mentions that “oh not this again” which indicates it happens to more ppl I’m guessing) which subsequently led me holding up the queue 🥲

          I personally used a 7-Eleven digital gift card at an Ampol Foodary. I mentioned this in the description of a recent AmpolCash physical gift card deal.

          Other people have previously confirmed it worked at EG Ampol, BP, United and Coles Express, which strongly indicates it is an MCC-restricted gift card. There have even been reports the gift card works at Costco’s service stations (which is really surprising to me).

          There was one report of the gift card not working at a Metro Petroleum, but without further details, it is hard to explain what happened in that instance.

          Having said that, there have also been a couple of reports of the 7-Eleven digital gift card being blocked by the EFTPOS terminals at EG Ampol if you are purchasing a gift card (and the reports I have seen specifically mentioned WISH and Amazon gift cards). This is probably due to 7-Eleven digital gift cards functionally being Activ Visa gift cards, and and it seems that EG Ampol does not want customers using Activ Visa gift cards (which I believe are sold at their service stations) to buy more gift card at their stores. There is also a clause in the Activ Visa gift card terms and conditions that says you cannot use them to purchase gift cards or vouchers, so it also looks like EG Ampol is choosing to enforce that…

          Lastly, no one has reported whether the 7-Eleven digital gift card works with the various fuel payment apps that allow you to pay for fuel from your car (e.g. FuelPay on the Ampol app, Pay At Pump on the EG Club app, BPme).

    This is the 2nd time i've had issues buying a gift card on Shopback with my St. George Credit Card (both times using my iPhone). It just comes up as declined due to restrictions or something along those lines. I log in using the St. George app, then go back to Shopback, and swipe, and it works. Got the gift card instantly.

    I just wish St. George had a Pay ID for its credit card. The only way to pay it is via BPAY (which takes days to appear), I might have to open a transaction account with them if they have a fee free one.

    Love these offers. Keep 'em coming Shopback!

    Just got an email saying the $5.00 bonus has tracked… there was something like 654 rewards left at the time I purchased the Amazon gift card

      They do have a fee free transaction account. I have one so that I'm an existing customer for any St George churn credit card deals that show up.

        Weird. I open their banking app on my iPhone, and then it allows me to use it on Shopback.

        Thanks daanish. I opened a Complete Freedom account. I can't use PayID as it only links to a mobile number (which is tied to another of my accounts), and they don't support email addresses for PayID, but at least OSKO transfers are faster than BPAY to pay the credit card off.

    $50 Amazon GC purchased last night, purchase has tracked in Shopback app but no $5 bonus yet. Are people getting the bonus when the GC purchase tracks or when it becomes payable ?

      Ok most likely found my problem "purchases made using Apple Pay may take up to 14 days to track". I don't remember selecting Apple Pay as the payment method for this Amazon GC purchase in the Shoppay App, but it does show in my list of recent Apple Pay transactions.
