OzBargain Easter Treasure Hunt 13-18 April 2017. $2,000+ of Treasure to Be Found!

TL;DR — OzBargain is running site-wide Easter treasure hunt from 14 to 18 April 2017 giving away $2,000+ of goodies, including a Nintendo Switch.

We ran OzBargain Treasure Hunt back in 2015 giving away an Xbox One, and then again last year giving away a PlayStation 4. With the recent release of Nintendo Switch, I thought it would be fitting to run the Easter treasure hunt this year giving away the latest Nintendo's game console!

Basically,

  • "Treasure" / "Easter Eggs" might spawn randomly on the website, starting from 13 April at mid-day.

  • Claim those treasures to add them to your "inventory", where you can then trade them in Market place.

    Click to Claim the treasure

  • Some prizes will require multiple parts to successfully claim the prize. For example the image above shows part 2 (out of 3) of Nintendo Classic Mini. Collect all 3 parts to win that prize! Use Marketplace wisely & trade with other OzBargainers to maximise the chances.

  • Treasure Hunt finishes at 12PM AEST 18 April, those with completed prizes will be able to fill out the address in their marketplace page.

Treasures this year are definitely on the gaming theme. I will be giving away:

  • 2x USD $50 Steam gift cards (2 parts)

  • 2x Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows (2 parts)
  • Razer DeathAdder Gaming Mouse (2 parts)

  • Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Gaming Keyboard (2 parts)
  • LEGO Star Wars Krennic's Imperial Shuttle (3 parts)

  • Nintendo Switch (3 parts)

Yes we are also giving away LEGO 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle from last year's The Rogue One (as we gave away an X-Wing & TIE Fighter previously). Total value $2,000+ (depending on whether I can get a bargain when I need to send them out next week), however not all might be claimed.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are the starting & finishing time for the treasure hunt?

Starting at 12PM on Thursday 13 April 2017. Finishing at 12PM on Tuesday 18 April 2017. Note that the "treasures" are added to the system progressively. You can go to the Marketplace page to see the status.

Who can participate?

All logged-in OzBargain users, except if your account is currently in penalty box.

Please note that cheating / gaming the system will be penalised, which includes creating multiple accounts, scrapping, botting, etc.

I claimed a prize! How can I actually get it?

At the end of treasure hunt event (18 April), you will be able to go to the Marketplace page to fill up an address form to have your prize delivered to you. Some prizes might need extra information — for example we'll need your preferred size if you have won a T-shirt.

I'll try my best to send out all the prizes in the next week or two.

Do the treasures appear when I am on mobile / or when I use an adblocker?

Yes.

    Will it be only on the front deal page, new deal pages and "Deal/forum/competition pages that have (1) at least 15 comments (2) last commented less than 30 days ago (between comments)". Or will it appear randomly anywhere now?

      It would be randomly. Note that some items might only come up on front page or new deals page.

    I just clicked on one of the OZBARGAIN TREASURE HUNT pop ups about 5 mins ago, it was on the second page of new deals, but it is not showing in my inventory when I go to market place.
