Seems like there are lots of bike sales at the moment. This time from BMC.

Popped into my local bike shop after a Sunday morning ride for some supplies and to check out their new custom bikes on display and saw this promotion in the window. Some pretty good prices and was told that this was Australia wide.

    $10,000 bikes aren't actually THAT uncommon anymore. Road cycling is the new golf of the corporate world, including amongst cashed up people working in finance and the like.

    There are a few brands you will find in Sydney stores going up to the $15k range.

    Then of course there are the ultra expensive bikes which can go well above this price, which are quite rare to see on the road.

    Wierd how you think buying a bike at $10,000 is too amazing to be true when people take out loans as a matter of routine to spend this much on a car - which then has much higher running costs associated with it.

  the ac02 are good value based on the running gear, and if they have my size very appealing, but the rest ……… seem expensive. oops 2016 ac02 picture links to different bike …. so no longer as good a value.

  considering that the running gear is either sram or shimano or campy regardless of brand of bike, ……the only thing exclusive is the frame …. so yeah what do you think the brand and frame are worth.

  i like the $2000 bikes at 50% off and they seem to sell fast …… $10,000 bikes at 50% off not so appealing …… and i'm not sure how many of those they sell at rrp.

  who buys bikes at rrp except people quoting prices they claimed they paid for a bike when on ebay or gumtree they try and sell them ..

  ac02 is probably the cheapest option I've seen for anyone looking for that commuter combination, beltdrive+hubgear+discbrakes with all 'brand name' components.

    Yes ….. some very nice bikes there. FYI, the deal has been extended for a month until 31 May 2017.
