Experiments lacing regular products with homebrand

Was watching Drugs Inc one night and they were cutting their cocaine with baby formula to increase their yield and suddenly it occurred to me….

I had been experimenting with Home Brand dishwasher powder and getting poor results. Streaky glasses and the odd dirty bowl. The wife had hounded me about it and I'd relented and bought a 2kg Finish powder to replace it.

I got up and found a container and cut finish with home brand 40/60 and put it on. In the morning the results were almost perfect but not 100%. I increased it to 50/50 and told the wife I was only using the finish. Perfect results every time.

Later I told her of my experiment and despite her horror she agreed it works. Been doing this for months now, no issue with the dishwasher. We have Miele.

I'm gonna try it with washing powder next.

Update: (the madness continues)

Bought a 4kg Homebrand washing powder and have been topping up the Biozet by about 25%. So far so good. I've hidden the Homebrand and the wife is yet to be told of this bold new experiment. I'll slowly increase the % until it becomes noticeable and then back it off a bit.

Also mixed homebrand dry cat food with the Royal Canin and the cat IS NOT HAPPY! This experiment failed miserably. The cat whines until the bowl is topped up then picks out the Royal Canin then whines again. EPIC FAIL!
Might try Blackhawk instead. It's under $5 a kilo if you buy in bulk.

Recently I retried home brand and now made in China toothpaste. The quality has improved remarkably, and I haven't showed any signs of been poisoned yet. The kids flat out refused to try it and so did my wife. Thus I employed my original strategy and refilled their almost empty tube of colgate with homebrand. They haven't noticed. GREAT SUCCESS!

Oh that's a boring new title you've given this dear moderators!!!!

    • I like your humour Heisenberg… what was the original title?

      • They edited my post again to add it in…

"Was watching Drugs Inc one night and ……"

We've been using the powder from Aldi for a long time, it works quite well with no need to add cocaine to it:)

    • It's more expensive than my home brew.

My father in law buys it in a huge brick from a manufacturer for a couple of dollars. Just chips it off and throws it in the machine. Works well and costs virtually nothing.

Just make sure you use front loading low sud washing powder to reduce bubbles and do not forget to message us when you are in the hospital.

    • aren't all dishwashers front loading?

I'm thinking you meant clothes washing machines? a lot of powder brands don't have front (F) and top load (T) formulas now they have one that can do both (F&T). we buy BioZet and it does both, same with Cold Power and Fab that I know of.

      • I'm gonna try it with washing powder next.

I think OP really meant clothes washing powder to be mixed with dish washing power.

        • oh, i missed that part.
          sorry.

No you nutter - I mean cutting home brand washing powder with Biozet.

          That's the next test.

          Then I'll try adding cocaine.

    No!

    You can't do that!

You could hit a combination that ends up explosive or releases dangerous gasses. Do not mess with cleaners

      It's all dishwasher powder FFS!

      • You always have the option to do whatever you like

        • +1

Will duly report any explosions cap in hand. None in the last hundred washes.

  • Bump for update….
