Juggling balls/supplies

Hi all,

On a whim I purchased a 3$ set of juggling balls from Kmart for my kid/me. Suffice it to say after 3 days of dropping them constantly they've split. Looking around it's hard to know quality versus cost. 10$/ball plus postage seems a bit steep but I'd like some that are reasonably durable, especially for a new starter.

Any ideas?

3 days. Take them back and get them replaced or refunded

    • I will if I can be bothered chasing the 3 bucks but I imagine a new set isn't going to last a whole lot longer so I'd be refunding and looking elsewhere anyway

  • What makes a ball a juggling ball? Are they zero bounce, high bounce?
Are splaying balls ok, I know our son and his friends thought they were best for hand ball.

  • Technically, they are juggling balls, not dropping-on-the-floor balls. As long as they don't come apart flying through the air and being caught by your hands, they would be fit for purpose. You would still get the refund from Kmart all the same, even if it doesn't technically qualify.

Make your own, fill a small plastic bag with flour or rice to the size you want, then cut the ends off of 3 or 4 balloons per juggling ball, place one balloon over the bag, then next one from the opposite direction, repeat until all 4 balloons are on the bag, ta-da, cheap, sturdy and easy juggling balls. can even cut holes in the balloons to make a pattern on each of the balls

    • Now that sounds like a plan, thanks!
