Have been hunting for some lightweight hiking shoes lately and came across these. Seems to be a good price there with plenty of sizes available. With two other colors too (search Catch Of the Day Merrell)

          @aprilhiker:

do you like the price or not?

Nah… needs to be < $50 to be considered a bargain, so I tried to make you post more interesting…

Do they come with socks ?

        • @aprilhiker: Price is alright, the sizes that are left - not so good for me.

@jv: ouch…where do these deal exist? recommend me one please. thanks anyway

        • @aprilhiker:

          where do these deal exist?

dunno, look around… I'm not paying $100 for these.

        • @nagel: i tried those on in Merrell shop and they were quite comfy. I thought 50% is decent for a desperate buyer. maybe not so good for a patient one ;-)

        • @aprilhiker: Yea I love their Waterpro range, some of the comfiest shoes I've owned, unfortunately my misses chucked them out because she thought they were ugly…

        • @nagel: ouch, my pocket hurts…again…

    • much lighter, that i can assure you.

I bought north face shoes for $40 at Anaconda on clearance, just as comfortable and good for hiking. Merrel is so overpriced and I think COTD can do better on the pricing.

    • that's a killer price. i would love that too. thanks for chime in.

    • I wish I had known about that.

  • This is a great deal. I have had a pair of these plus a pair of $350 walking boots for about 7 years now. However, since moving to NZ (from Scotland) in 2012 and then Australia last year I've used neither. My Adidas Boost running shoes are by far the best and most comfortable shoes for walking any trail over here except for when it's raining (hardly ever as I'm mainly a fair weather walker).

  • Have a pair for many years now. This is a bargain price (good luck trying to find lower price). Probably the most comfortable hiking shoes I ever owned, excellent for walking in rough terrain (rocks, etc.). Two small negatives: rather heavy (but: very solid construction), and contrary to the "Ventilator" in the name, rater hot. I used them many times in Mediterranean summer, and they are nor the best choice in hot weather. Merrell used to make (still makes?) somewhat similar hiking sandals; very difficult to find.

  • Bought a pair of these a few years ago, great quality and very comfortable, however your feet will get a little hot and sweaty on the warmer days.

  • Just bought a pair of the Merrell Jungle Moc shoes for $59 + $6.95 shipping - 3% when going through cashrewards. A great price for these and Merrell are the best shoes I have had in the past….

  • Have been hunting for some lightweight hiking shoes lately and came across these.

I have these and whilst they are great they aren't lightweight

  • I bought these on ebay for US$107 in 2013 (back when AUD/US was at parity) and they've been great for hikes and trails. They're still going strong.

BTW these are cheaper on COTD's ebay store using CRACKA20 code.
