Hi all.

I know this is cheaper on sites like CD keys. However, if you are a hardcore halo fan like myself or just prefer physical, you may want the physical case with the discs. I emailed/enquired to ozgameshop to ensure it came with the 4 discs (which are pictured on the page) and they said yes. $78 is still a good deal as this is the ultimate edition with season pass, plus it is play anywhere. So, you can play on both PC and Xbox. $10 or so more for physical is worth it imo.

Shipping is free anyway, it's over $50

    • The free shipping codes are a joke at ozg. If you could stack with your hard earned player points voucher then MAYBE they would be worthwhile but even those vouchers have minimum spends.

  • I get arguments for and against physical on a console, but there is a reason Steam and the like are popular on PC.

    • I agree. Again, like I said this is for those who prefer physical/collect Halo stuff.

Edit-Even if this game was on steam, I would still prefer physical.

  • plus it is play anywhere

Nooooooo it is not. Only digital games are Play Anywhere.

    • Who told you that???

      Xbox Physical=Not play anywhere

      PC Physical=Play anywhere

      Xbox Digital=Play anywhere

The code you get with the physical pc version applies the game to your MS account, which therefore allows you to play the game on Xbox etc.

      • Does Xbox Play Anywhere work with physical copies?

No, it does not, according to Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft's Xbox marketing chief. From Greenberg:
It is specific to digital because we have to be able to associate your account with the product. When you purchase ReCore digitally in the Windows 10 Store on Xbox One, that game will be tied to your account. When you go between multiple devices, we'll be able to say 'this is your game, this is your game library.' We're only able to do that digitally today.
If you want to take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere you need to have a digital copy of the game, ether by purchasing it directly from the Xbox Store on your console or by using a download voucher from your favorite retailer.

      • The comments on that forum appear to be mixed :/

sigh That applies for XBOX physical copies, not PC ones. PC physical copies come with the same digital codes you buy from the store. This quote is out of context because at that time, there were no PC physical titles, Halo wars was the first with actual disks and not just a download key.
