Closing down Sale 40-50% Bicycles and Accessories @ Bicycle Warehouse (Strathpine, QLD)

101

Bicycle shop closing down sale, claiming to be 40-50% off RRP. I wouldn't blindly trust it so have checked around a few discounted items and they appear to be slightly cheaper than elsewhere.
Their online presence is not enormous (couldn't find a catalogue), here are a few photos (and bargains) I made in the store:
* Floor pump $24.98 (was $49.95)
* Shoes - all road ones $70, mtb - $50
* Kabuto helmet $59 (was $190)
* Lubes e.g. Finish Line Wet Lube 2oz $6.59
and quite a few bicycles.

Mainly actual for those who can make it to the physical store at 498 Gympie Road, Strathpine, QLD (~20km north of Brisbane CBD) though they seem to offer bicycle delivery to anywhere in Australia for $180.

    • Nah, add there MEL-BNE flight from the last Tiger/JetStar sale :)

  • There's 3 lubes in the photo, not a deal.

    The closing-down sale started last August. I'm surprised they're still closing down!

    • I think I was there in October 2016 last time but didn't see the sale. Anyway, yes it's not uncommon to "close down" for years.

    They offer great service there but the range of bikes they stock is sub par (in terms of groupset) and very overpriced. When on sale, they are more reasonably priced but many of the bikes there have just been build with components pulled out of the parts bin and not much matches.

    That being said, we did get a bike there and the price is reasonable but then Aldi started selling bikes more often and it seemed like the price was more average.

    • I was agreeing with your comments until you said Aldi. Mate no comparison don't be silly.

      So many bike places have gone here but the better place is at Strathpine bicycle centre just up the road.

  • Anything left is crap. Sale has been going on for at least what feels like 12months.

      Is the shop name called "Closing Down"?

    Shoulda sold Segways instead.

  • Seems like these guys have been closing down for years…

  • They have closed down and re-opened at least twice that I recall, maybe more.
