Remember to include price in title!

    $189 - free shipping.

  • Please put the price in title :) ($189)

Can't see this beating the Kindle (USD $189 with global 3G), and definitely doesn't beat the WiFi only Kindle (USD $139).

    • My vote also goes for the Kindle. Why buy a dodgy noname when you can get a better (or at least better supported) product for less. The included free titles seem to be ones that are free anyway.

  • But it's always been this price. Is that a deal then? It's like you're announcing their product release on here.

  • Why would anyone want to buy this when there is the kindle?

The free books are nothing special.
They are out of copyright books which are free to anyone.

  • not a bargain, that's its normal price
in addition to the above: everybody can download the "free" books themselves, thousands of free books available on sites like google books…

  • Too expensive @ $189. Not a deal. Not a special. Not a Bargain.

  • "When he says he's cheaper, if he is, it's very marginal and sometimes he's dearer - but it's all unbranded shit, it's not the quality product." - Gerry Harvey on Kogan's business. I completely agree with him though - Kogan and Milan Direct are definately not as value-for-money compared to when they started.

At $189, Kindle 3 with Wifi is definitely a better bargain. Plus, 4-bit greyscale e-inks are like 2 years ago? Welcome to the 16-bit grey era. 4-bits is definitely in the past, not the future.

    • I was going to write exactly the same!
      You are definitely right.
You can buy a Kindle wifi with very very better interface for $185 (delivered!) how is this a bargain?!
I don't know what is with Australian market of ebooks, every single seller here is out of touch! It seems they don't have internet connection to see what's going on in the world or maybe they just make profit out of uninformed people.

      • A Kindle 2 cost about $225 AUD (U$199) to ship from Amazon (Got it a month before Kindle 3 came out, damn!). A Kindle 3 Wifi probably cost about A$150 to get into your mailbox. Definitely, not a bargain.

      • "maybe they just make profit out of uninformed people"
That sentence to me totally summarises most of Australian business ideas, especially when it comes to technology.

  • expensive.
