[StartHere] Missing Click Data for DELL

I did 4 separate order with DELL between the 17th and the 20th of Aug, none show up in the transaction log as of today, and when I try to submit a missing transaction enquiry, it says no click data found. Was there anything I'm missing?

  • Hi,

If there is no click data recorded then that indicates that you weren't logged into your account before clicking through to the Dell page. If you email [email protected] with you login details we can try and find out what happened.

    Thanks, Steve.

  • I had the same problem when I bought from Lind Golf. It was my first transaction with Moneybackco, and unfortunately it's also going to be my last. I was definitely logged in when I made the purchase, as I registered purely for that reason.

    • Hi,

Do bear in mind that you need to wait 7 days before being able to submit an enquiry, so you won't be able to select the click data until after 7 days. Lind Golf do accept enquiries on missing transactions, Dell don't.

If you were logged in then there will be click data.

      Steve.

      • I was indeed logged in, and I waited 8 days before checking. Still nothing unfortunately. Never mind, it was worth a shot but I won't bother again.

  • I have notice that you have to use IE, as Moneybackco website maybe or maybe not work with firefox.

The DELL issue happened when I used Firefox, I have since used IE for an Apple purchase, and it worked without issue.

Might be worth it to mention on your website?

    • Thanks blue_bug,

I think it may depend more on the security settings of the browser rather than the browser itself. But thanks for the info, hopefully it will help others.

      Thanks, Steve.

  • Is there any way to resolve the "no click data" issue? I can't seem to submit an inquiry. I was definitely logged on when I clicked onto the merchants website!

    • Have the same issue from an order made on the 14th. Just sent an email to [email protected]. See what happens…

      • please update with their reply (wasn't for Quickflix was it?)

        • No it was for Dell and unfortunately nothing can be done if Dell's the seller :-(

I suggest sending them an email via [email protected] regarding your issue. I got a very quick reply back from Steve.

        • Thanks for the update. I have a feeling I will get the same response, but will try anyway.

  • I have now made 3 seperate system purchases though MBC on Dells website and made sure each time I was logged in. There is no click data for any of the purchases and I made sure I didnt use any coupon codes.

Im going to start using an alternative site for Dell as I am now missing 3 sales for approx $1500 each. Cannot submit an enquiry either since its Dell :(

  • Got the same issue with my order with Dell, unbelievable. Sent email to Moneybackco support but they couldn't do anything if you purchase from DELL. This deal seems not reliable and got you money back is just at your own luck. Should I blame DELL or Moneybackco???

  • I have found that with IE, it usually picks up the click data within 24 hours, I have used coupon codes in my purchase as well, and it will register fine.

Just for test, I did an other order with DELL last week using the latest firefox with default security settings and disabled adblock/noscript before coming to Moneybackco. It did not register the sales again.

  • They just don't seem to work with Dell any more. I got one success last year and did 3 orders in the last month and none registered. It is seriously broken.

I even tried to post on the blog under the Dell section and he didn't publish it!

Going to steer clear of this site from now on.

I can assure you the Dell links are working, we're seeing transactions every day. More and more browser defaults are blocking tracking cookies. Please see our FAQ section to see what to check to maximise tracking probability.

If you submitted a comment it would have been published provided it wasn't offensive.

    Thanks, Steve.

    • My comment was totally inoffensive. It was a simple statement of the problem I was having. It was ignored, twice. Maybe this is a cookie problem too! LOL

I changed nothing on my browser setup from the one time when it did actually work so it must be your site.

I recently received payment from Moneybackco for my Dell transaction for June.

I followed the step by step instructions that was provided by Guybrush57 in the following thread and all things went smoothly from the transaction appearing on my moneybackco account within days.

I used Internet Explorer and lowered the security settings to medium while I completed the transaction.

Step 1. Clear entire browser's cache & history
    Step 2. Close your browser
Step 3. Open browser and keep only 1 tab open
Step 4. Visit MoneyBackCo website and sign in
Step 5. Search for and click Dell on the MoneyBackCo website (they may be on front page)
Step 6. Scroll down to halfway on the page and click "Click here to visit this merchant and earn moneyback…"
Step 7. A window will pop-up so click "Click here to visit this merchant and earn moneyback…" again
Step 8. Another tab will open with the Dell website and your browser will have a total of 2 open tabs
Step 9. Shop for your Dell PC and complete the transaction
Step 10. After the Dell PC order has been processed/paid you may sign out of MoneyBackCo as it should take care of the rest.

    • Great post. In step 1 you should also clear all cookies, these are primarily what are used for tracking so if you've picked up a tracking cookie from another website, they'll most likely be credited with the sale and therefore your cashback.

      Steve.

      • I did 2 transactions with dell in IE ( as few people reported FF and Chrome) and the results were reflected next day or two in MBC.
I am just wondering, when will they be confirmed and paid back.

    • I followed a similar procedure (was just overly thorough after reading about other people's issues) when I bought my U2701 and it tracked about a day later with no issues. You just have to accept that the tracking method isn't really ideal, but its what we have so be careful with it and reap the benefits.

  • Is your website compatible with Google Chrome ?

  • Hi Steve,

Looks like the DELL tracking is not working again.

I made 2 (1 of them large sum) purchases with DELL Small Business in the last 30 days, none of them are showing up.

I only use IE for your starthere website, and did clear the cookies before logging into starthere.

I will be using starthere to do an other purchase soon, could you double check and ensure the tracking data are been collected correctly?

    Cheers.

  • Hi,

DGM (the network that Dell is on) has been moving over to a new platform and so links have been changing (more than once) as merchants have had differing schedules to DGM to update their code.

Dell does now seem to be tracking on the new platform.

    Thanks, Steve.
