  • Our engineers have worked tirelessly with LG to ensure our battery charges in less than an hour while preserving battery life.

    sure they have :thinking:

    • At least they didn't work with Samsung

        Its funny how everybody buys into the media hype.

        Almost every single large electronics company which makes phones have had their phones explode. LG was suied a few years ago for it. Apple has a few reports and lawsuits.

        Logic and possibility actually tells you that samsung is actually the best to buy now if you don't want an exploding phone because they would have put in all the new safety precautions and ensured their new phones don't explode. Because if 2 phone series explode side by side… their business would be in a wreck and share prices would plummet so badly it would be years before they recover.

        Sooner or later another company's phones will explode and the longer they don't the chances potentially go up. Haha

    Why, was a valid comment;

    Product is not a Hover Board

    Definition for the Mod;
    hover
    ˈhɒvə/
    verb: hover; 3rd person present: hovers; past tense: hovered; past participle: hovered; gerund or present participle: hovering
    1.
    remain in one place in the air.

    hoverboard
    ˈhɒvəbɔːd/
    noun: hoverboard; plural noun: hoverboards
    (chiefly in science fiction) a means of transport resembling a skateboard that travels above the surface of the ground, ridden in a standing position.

    this product has wheels and does not travel in the air, therefore not a Hover Board
    Product is misleading

      I agree.

      I suppose the rider appears to be hovering since his/her feet don't touch the ground. I suppose it could be called a "Hovverboard" or some other brand-name corruption of "hoverboard" but it definitely CANNOT be called a "hover board".

      I would much rather they call them - more accurately - self-balancing boards or self-balancing scooters.

    No mention of AS/NZS 60335.1 testing on their website which means they are illegal in Victoria as they will not have a Certificate of Compliance from Energysafe.

    Probably not the 'worlds safest hoverboard'

      I think only QLD permit these types of Hoverboard on the public road

      • Even in QLD these are illegal in public. Anything over 250W needs to be registered.

        • Literally it's illegal to ride in public within Australia… kind of like a backyard toy.

  • Is this one of the ones that explodes? Pretty sure they are banned on all airlines

    • This hoverboard has the new UL2272 certification which means it is 100% safe, more infos here:

        You sound like a rep

      • It may be safe but it still doesn't change the fact that you cannot sell it in Victoria which the website is advertising. I would suggest you check with ESV as UL2272 is not enough to show compliance.

  • I notice Marty McFly hasn't commented yet.
