  • Yay!!!! Thanks undercut. Always excited to see these!

    • :) time to throw some more monies at Priceline!

  • Yay NYX is included too - updated description :)

    • Does this brand REALLY compare to MAC or is it all just hot air? I generally hate cheapo makeup (too much glitter in the products) so I would be interested to hear some feedback.

      • +3

I can't really say personally if it's comparable to MAC since MAC is way too expensive and I've only ever bought one foundation from them years ago when I was having trouble getting yellow-based foundations from other brands in Australia at that time.

However, the NYX line-up is really impressive in terms of colour range - so many colours for eye-liners, eye shadows, and really usable too. There are matte as well as shimmer products. The best way to be sure for yourself is to go to a Priceline or Target to play with the testers yourself. NYX is 40% off at Target this week.

Edit: There are also heaps of NYX product reviews online e.g. beautyheaven and makeupalley- and some comparisons with MAC - google 'NYX vs MAC'.

        • Cheers @moocher, I guess the best way to find out is to go and test them all. And avoid glitter at all costs!

I'm still annoyed my favourite go-to Nude By Nature eyeshadow palette has been discontinued and replaced with sparkly crap.

@sparkles: Yeah do try it out if you get the chance. I was pleasantly surprised with the NYX line-up.

Agree with you that glitter can look cheap, and it's difficult to wear. I don't mind a mix of metallic and matte for eyeshadow.

Couldn't help noticing your username, are you sure you don't like sparkly stuff? :P

@moocher: Maybe I should change my name to matte? LOL I like sparkly things, just not on my face.

  • Didn't really need any cosmetics so I stocked up on a LOT of nail polish remover (which I use in one of my craft obsessions). Bag is not as jam-packed with goodies as last year, but I'm still happy to get some freebies to try out. (Now that I think about it, skincare goodies are a bulkier than lipstick goodies, so that explains it.)

    • ahaha I did that for the bag last year… I bought about 3 years worth of moisturiser :S

Thanks for the heads up. Got 2 Nude by nature things for the wife, which were on special. Also, I got this promo:

Spend $45 or more in one transaction across the Nude By Nature Cosmetic range and receive a FREE Soy Candle.

ed: this was in-store, and they had stock

    • That's the way to do it! Multiple discounts and multiple freebies in one go.

    • Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for this tmr. I was deciding between buying some Nude by Nature foundation 40% off at Target vs 20% off at Priceline + this cosmetics bag + now a soy candle.

  • Just stocked up my cosmetics from the Target 40% sale yesterday lol.
Didn't get a chance to visit Priceline today - hopefully there are still bags left tomorrow?
