170x Loratadine 10mg Hayfever Relief Medication (Dr Reddys Lorazol) $15.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

5off

Hi Ozbargainers,

Nice fast deal on Loratadine 10mg tonight, despite rolling out the deals for the past 5 years or so I am still getting many emails asking me what the medications we offer on Ozbargain actually assist with - please let wikipedia be your friend.

We currently have an overstock of Loratadine, so I thought I'd clear out a couple of cartons tonight by offering our existing stock at a steal price. This stock expires at the end of July 2026, so please don't buy 10x the deal and then complain you don't have 5 years expiry on the clock to use it - this product should get allergy sufferers through the balance of this years season and then through autumn next year - for $16 delivered, I think the deal is more than Ozbargain worthy.

Unlike our other deals which can sometimes run on and on, this is a clearance of our 2026 stock and once its gone - its gone, but I've allocated several hundred boxes at this price, so there should be enough to go around.

Item: 170x Loratadine 10mg (Dr Reddys Lorazol), Exp: End July 2026
Price: $15.99 (after code)

For those looking for a sampler of Loratadine and Cetirizine, lasts weeks deal voted pretty woefully, but sold plenty:
10x Loratadine + 10x Cetirizine = $8.99 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/930269

Bought from this seller last year. Never again would I pay for that overpriced brand-name hayfever medication. Fk big pharma.

That applies to almost every medication on the market. Despite their persistent marketing It’s not the brand name on the box that works, it’s the active ingredient inside which does the job. I always read box labels to compare drug names and strengths so I can save heaps.

Sure, Big Pharma sinks a lot of $$ into R&D so they need to recoup that somehow, and that’s what patents/trademarks/etc are for - to provide protection for the original owner so they can charge what they want and make as much profit as they can during that window of opportunity. Once those protections expire, though, and anyone can start making a drug that’s when you can stop buying name-brand and start using generics, as long as the active ingredient is the same.

This stock expires at the end of July 2026

how long past expiry date is Loratidine ok to use?

i'm guessing 3-5 years, but would like to know a chemist opinion, off the record of course…

    • Take it after it expires without knowing its expired. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. And I say don't remember the expiry date because of placebo effects.

    • This comment on an old post links to an article that explains drug expiries quite well.

  • I get hayfever, not daily issues, but say couple of times a month and it lingers

Is this preventative, and to take everyday?
Ie. Take every day, not once symptoms start?

  • @jason101 Hi mate, what is the expiry for 200x Cetirizine 10mg? On your long running thread it says Sept 2026, please confirm.

It is an excellent deal by the way. I ordered Cetirizine last year and it worked well. I am about to run so placing another order as soon as the expiry is confirmed.

Hi the 200x may still be late 2026 stock, some of our packing locations have 2027 stock, but most of the Ozb sales are processed by myself and I still have +/- 100 boxes of 2026 stock to get through, if you want 2027 wait a couple of weeks before ordering and we should be through all of the 2026 stock.

      • Thanks mate, I will wait.
        Keep up the good work!

  • What's the expiry of the 200x Loratadine 10mg @ $19.99? Thanks

  • just received mine, thanks Jason

  • Ordered last Fri, still waiting for mine…no tracking

    • Yes, no tracking is provided if untrackable envelope post is selected at checkout - per note on shipment, typical delivery via Aust Post is around 10 working days on average (sometimes a little faster, sometimes a little slower)

      • 10 working days seems like a lot for local delivery…

        • If our clients would complain to Aust Post about this instead of filling our inbox with 100's of messages blaming us for poor Aust Post performance, the world may change. If I had $1 for every client "vowing" to never buy from me again due to slow Australia Post delivery (think about that logic for a moment), I'd be a rich man.

  • Just received mine, thanks

  • So those of you that bought these, how's the effectiveness? Got the 200x pack couple last month which are the same July 2026 expiry ones.
Of the 3 people that have used them so far, they all say they are doing nothing.. (I don't need them myself so can't comment directly)

Previously got the Trust ones which were ok, but seems these ones haven't quite made it to their expiry date?

    • Unlikely to be related to the exp date, effectiveness should not diminish within (or potentially even after) the exp date. Keeping in mind we process around 3000 orders a month I get 1-2-3 complaints each month about X not working and Y working better - next message comes in complaining Y doesn't work but X does (so go figure). Allot has to do with the individual, the symptom, their tolerance or lack there of to the medication - so much comes into play, but at the end of the day they all contain 10mg loratadine and should act identically (ie on a particular day for a particular person with a particular symptom - if this doesn't work, neither will another brand containing the same active ingredient.)

Not stating this relates to your experiences, but allot of people also get caught up in the marketing hype and many claim to me that ONLY the originator brand works for them, be it Zyrtec, Telfast, Claratyne etc - all power to these people, but I usually roll my eyes when they tell me this at the pharmacy when they pay 4x 5x 6x the price for exactly the same active ingredient.
