Hi Ozbargainers,

Thanks for the comments in the last deal in regard to postage options. I've been approached by so many of you asking for bundles containing X or Y over the years and I know many people feel let down by having to include product A or B in a bundle they don't want product A or B, or worse have to buy product Z separately in addition to an already overloaded bundle. I've been tinkering with our websites back end and front end pricing to attempt to work out a "build your own bundle" page - so Ozbargainers can add products they want to their own custom bundle to cut down the waste.

Some people may want 100x Hayfexo and 3 Months supply of Minoxidil in one order for $54.47 delivered?

By having a fixed base price for postage, I can then attempt to lower prices across the board (based on assumed or average total order values). The more clients order or the larger their cart size, in theory the lower I should be able to offer the product prices. I wont know exactly how low (or high) prices need to be until I get a few orders under my belt and see what the average "cart" size is.

This may also be a way to reward volume buyers who do buy 10 or 20 items in one transaction, they only pay a 1 off postage fee, rather than a higher per item price (where items are priced assuming each item has to be posted individually.

Further it is also a way for me to sell low value items, which I've previously expressed I can no longer afford to sell or stock 10x tabs or even 30x tab boxes, as to send them individually factoring in labour and postage costs is just not financially viable anymore - but as a bundle, no problem I think its still achievable.

This is my first attempt so, like the newbies say - please be kind, but do let me know in the comments if you think this strategy has merit to continue or should just disappear. In Ozbargain spirit most of the items are listed at what I believe (from a quick zip around the net) are the best prices in Australia.

If this build your own bundle page has legs, I'll slowly add our entire product range for Ozbargainers to select from, if it ranks poorly, I'll get the message and go back to the drawing board.

    Interesting example deal. Most people wouldn't consider bundling hair regrowth products and antihistamines.

    I like the theory of it, but at present I'm fully stocked, thanks to last weeks' purchases. A larger range included might attract more comment / buyers?

      No - but thanks for pointing out, this is why I hate putting exp dates in the listings as its then a forever job keeping the dates changed as new stock comes in. All stock is within exp range
