Interesting offer from Vodafone. Free 1GB of data for the first 12 months on any plan — as long as it runs Android. So you can get an LG Optimus on $19 cap and gets 1GB data each month for the first year.

Too bad Vodafone has all the crappy Android phones, as they sold off all their Nexus Ones.

Edit — available to all 24 months contracts, i.e. not available for LG Optimus on 12 months contract

  Technically not all plans, because you can get the optimus on a 12 month plan with the $29 cap (would have been nice to get 1GB with that for the full 12 months…). It's only on 24 month plans.

  I can't be bothered with these time limited bonuses. I don't want to become accustomed to using a lot of data, then have to cut way back half way though the plan.

    i think that a year from now data packs will be a lot cheaper any way. so i dont think u need to work about having to cut back. if anything you will get an even better deal then. In the telecom industry over the past year prices have kept coming down. or data and voice increasing.

      you might want to watch the voice part of it though. They usually find a way to screw you, e.g. Virgin switched to per-minute billing, others have given you more credit but also raised the cost of calls, etc.

      Hurrah for more data though. :)
