Samsung Galaxy S8 $1145 @ ThinkOfUs ($1092.50 Price Match at Officeworks)

110

If you want a Samsung S8 with full warranty this is the cheapest I could find. (I bought one, so it works*)

I searched for the cheapest price Officeworks would match with their guidelines For the Samsung S8 and this is it: (With full 24 month warranty, something you probably don't get with grey a import.)

The cheapest Deal I could find for a Samsung S8 was at https://www.thinkofus.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s8-midnight-blac… for $1145 + postage of $10.( which is Australian stock with 24 month manufacturers warranty)

Officeworks beat that by 5% = $1092.50

Which is down from Officeworks original price of $1197.00 a saving of $104.50 Enjoy

  • Best make the title the bargain, not the price match, quickly.

  • Are these grey import? Plus I think Officeworks only price matches stores that have a shopfront.

    • Officeworks has already matched it for me. Its in their guidelines.

from the OW website "Our LPG [Lowest Price Guarantee] includes online stores but as with any other kind of store, the item must be identical and currently in stock. When redeeming the LPG by price matching the price from online stores we also take into account the added cost of delivery to your location (if any). If the identical, in stock product can be purchased and delivered to your location via an online store for a total price lower than the one we are offering, we will beat that total price by 5%."

    • does this mean that i can price match kogan at officeworks?

    • Like? In the same specs please.

I don't think any other flagship has snapdragon 835 but they will soon enough. Despite that, you really can't go wrong with any flagships from any of the major brands like LG/HTC/Sony/Xiaomi. We've reached a point where it really doesn't matter which phone you pick now. If I think a phone is too big or poor placement of fingerprint button, it's very easy to just buy from another brand whereas a few years ago you'd have to check speed comparisons which are now pretty pointless since they're all quick enough.
So now it's all about usability and for me the s8 has a few features that make it unsuitable for me. Unfortunately people are still going to get but thurt over it since they need internet affirmation that they're phone is the best when in reality they're all top notch. BTW I use the s7 currently too so no bias

        • I think its all about the warranty and software security updates these days. That's why im still sticking with samsung with no telco crap put on it.

If your samsung has an issue within 2 years they will just swap it there and then for a brand new one. That has been their policy for about 1 year now

Wonder if HN would price match allowing people to use their $50 AMEX credit deal? Not as good as officeworks, but an option???

    • Buy gift cards with 3 amex cards, then price match and pay with the gift cards

      • or just split the payment up over 3 cards? Thats what I did a while back when I bought a TV and had some Amex deals

  • Can the supplementary cardholder register for this and the primary and supp both redeem?

    • The Amex HN offer?? - Yes if Amex Amex, Yes if ANZ, NAB Amex (different numbers). Not sure on CBA and Westpac Amex (cards just need to be different numbers)

Might get mixed responses from trying to price match seeing its not concrete as to where they ship what from.

    • That is their broad warranty terms but when you specifically look at the S8 on thinkofus it says 24 month manufacturers warranty. That is what they will go off. Which also means it's Australian stock and officeworks should accept it.
