STA Travel Not Honouring The $100 Free Spending Money with International Return Flights Via QANTAS

EDIT: STA Travel have rectified this for me. But just be weary, guys and girls.

Recently a deal was posted about $899 flights to LA, return. The deal stated there is also a special offer of $100 Spending money for the first 150 ticket purchases.

Upon going to the linked website, it doesn't stipulate that there are any conditions to the deal, other than purchasing "Return international flights with QANTAS". (see the web archive) for proof. There is no conditions to the offer on that page, nor any links to further terms and conditions.

Imagine my joy when I figured that the OP of the deal may have been slightly wrong - all international flights are eligible!

Upon purchasing two return tickets to LA (outside of the dates the OP in the original deal had advised), I never received any further information regarding the offer.

I enquired with an STA Agent and they have told me the offer is only available in-store.

What do you guys think? I've contacted their customer support and am awaiting return contact, as the agent flat out refused to honour the offer.

    It's not mentioned on that page however if you click through the link on STA's homepage, it will bring you to this link which states it is in-store only. The Qantas link comes from that page. Definitely unclear but not sure you'll be able to do anything. See Edit

    T&Cs:

    Free $100 spending money with international return flights: This offer is available on the first 300 ex-Australia international return flight bookings on either Qantas Airways or Etihad Airways (150 each each) between 9am AEST 1-31MAY17 or until sold out. Offer only applicable for departures from 01MAY17 & beyond. Offer excludes any non-ex Australia bookings. Offer is only valid at STA Travel Australia retail stores until allocation is exhausted. The $100 will be applies to a CashFlex card which will be credited on the customers departure date. Lay-bys permitted, however CashFlex Cards will only be loaded once full payment is taken and a day from departure. Not available with any other offer, voucher, discount, promotion or price beat. This offer is limited to one STA Travel CashFLEX card per person. Not valid on existing bookings, not redeemable for cash, credit or foreign exchange.

    EDIT: Funnily enough, the ads on this page are now linking to the free $100 spending money but are linking to the Qantas page with no T&Cs. Screenshot. So I change my answer, that is misleading as they are advertising it with no T&Cs.

      Yeah - I know now that there are further stipulations, and I should have realised that there would be. But I didn't when I was booking it as there was nothing at all on their webpage, nor was the advert hyperlinked. I got tickets for about $950 (as I said, outside of the dates in the original deal) but the advertisement is there and doesn't state any time limitations, or any constraints, to be honest.
