Ok, I WILL be kind! :) Early Oct is usually a little expensive (I think due to School Hols) so if you can get this price then, well….. you are doing pretty good!

    • +2

When i called today they did have flights at this price and also the $100 international money cards available too. Depending if the cash card is in AUD or USD, you will be getting your ticket for $799 if it's in AUD

Do the flights include lemon meringue pie on the menu?

Or princess_nil_nak as the flight attendant?

    • Knuckle dusters if you ask nicely. Well they do on United.

    • Or the ralph fiennes experience

    • At least you have leave! I don't even have an option for it and I've been working for 15 years at same place. Fml

      • that's illegal. you should speak to a professional to discuss your options. unless you're a contractor of course.

        • +1

I am casual, but have been working 7.5hrs a day 5 days a week every single day except public holidays and when business is closed.
It is part of the award details.

        • He's the owner.

        • +1

@Turd: but you pay is higher to compensate the lack of annual leave benefits etc?

        • @wtfnodeal: Maybe $3-$4 more

        • @Turd: If $3 more an hour that's equivalent to approximately $39/hour per 7.5 working hours over 20 days of annual leave. Isn't too bad but of course if your pay is $40 or more an hour and you don't get sick leave then permanent full time is still better.

        • @wtfnodeal: If I wanted to take a day off or go on holidays I wont get paid.

Funny thing though.. I work with Company B, but Company C pays me (pay slips), and actually Company A owns company B & C.
Company B & C are competitors. lOL *hastag fml

Do I work for company C? That's what I put when I put down for CC signps or if someone asks.

        • @Turd: of course you don't get paid for going on leave when you don't have annual leave and that's why you get $3/4 more every worked hours. You want both of the worlds be your own boss and you can pay yourself any $/hour you want even you don't work 365 days a year.

  • Any cheap flight to LA for mid mid JAN18

    no deal here. move on

    • +1

Why do you say that? LA nonstop on a decent carrier, this is fairly low

  • Why not Perth? :(

Great price from the East though
    Cheers for the post, OP

    • +2

I agree… im actually from perth and looking for march next year when i came across it. Cheapest i have found from perth is china southern

      • +1

Do not fly China Southern. I know airline food is never generally good, but at least you usually know WHAT you are eating. God knows what was in one of my meals, but it tasted like no food I've ever eaten.

LA is one of my least favourite cities, but price is decent for that time of year.

      • errr yeah, there's a bit of a difference between China Southern and Qantas…

There'll be good sales all the way till Dec with Qantas flights from Perth to US (return). Just need to keep an eye out, set an alert, and save up some Freq Flyer Points

        • Im not big for LA either… i will be going on to Seattle and SFO to see family. Do qantas have flights from WA?

        • +2

@princess_nik_nak: As an ex-Perthie I can guarantee you, if you're flying to the US the cheapest option is to get one of these cheap flights flights out of Syd/Mel/Bris and get an even cheaper domestic connecting flight… I've seen some recently for $99 each way

        • +1

          @princess_nik_nak:

          via Sydney - yep.

Flew to LA via Syd with Qantas - 5 years ago
There was a mid year sale

Flying to SFO via Syd (3 hour stopover) wi Qantas next month..

Cheapest you're looking at can be around $800 return, max I'd go for $1300 return

  • Does this apply for non students and over 26ers?

This old man, he played one,
He played nik nak on my drum,
With a nik nak paddy whack
    Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home…

    Nice name.
    :P

  • I'm in love….with this deal

  • Can anyone tell me how to redeem the $100? I just booked flights via Qantas.

EDIT: Derp, Just realised it was the first 150 tickets bought.

  • Good luck… Flight Centre is the parent company

    • -2

No doubt in my mind OP works for them - FCL

      • +4

No i dont. Im actually at at home mum so no affliation at all. Im just looking for flights for my family to head over to America next year and came across this so i called them.

      • Gringoesai, please use the report link if you have suspicions instead of accusing the OP.

        • +3

          My sincerest apologies to OP

  • Whether it's flights or Ikea… Perth always misses out. Good if you're a Bali bogan though.

    • Agreed!! I have been to bali and phuket too many times..
From what i can see via skyscanner (not sure im allowed to talk about that website) but the cheapest option is either china southern stopping via china or emirates via dubai but its still $1400 for the dates im looking for and someone said above that china southern is crap to fly with :( so really only leaves one option. Hopefully emirates have a sale for us WA people

      • +1

Same, with Bali anyway. It costs more for a holiday down to Margs so why not.
I flew Emirates from KL to Amsterdam via Dubai and it's the best flight I've ever been on. Mind you I slept most of it, had a whole row to myself.
You'd think something alot better than $1400 will pop up soon enough.

  • I cant find any of these online for MEL-LAX. Is this via consultant/instore only?

    • Im not exactly sure… i called up yesterday and spoke to someone in Sydney (im from WA so im guessing they dont have stores here?) I know to get the cash card it has to be booked in store or over the phone but not sure about the flight itself if its an instore pricing or internet price too

  • Does anyone know what type of ticket this gets booked on? (Saver/Red sale / Flex)?

    • Flex? For $899? Tell 'em they're dreeeeaming.

  • So this flight doesn't show up for me when I filter out student/youth fares, and it also says "Call to Book".

  • Hasn't qantas started a straight no stoppage flight? Is it better to get that or the one with the transit. The one without the transit is pretty expensive though, last i checked it was nearly 1800 USD

  • Did any adult managed to book this? I called up 2 places and they say its for teachers and students only.

    • Just booked tickets instore to LAX. They make you buy a ISIC or Youth card for $30 before you are "eligible" for these tickets.

On a side note I was unable to get the $100 international money as they said it wasn't available for tickets on sale.

  • I agree to iceshadow this is a useless promo. In the beginning of booking filled all the ticks but in the end was told "Not available on Sale fare". In the end ditched them, price matched "momondo" price with "Flight Centre" and was $300 better off than STA.
