  • what you guys think about this?

    Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - 256GB / Intel Core i5 8GB

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Microsoft-Surface-Pro-4-256GB-Int…

      • Btw Harvey Norman and Jbhifi have a 20% off too. The only problem i see with the Surface laptop is it uses alcantara on its keyboard, in as little as 6 months your laptop can start to show a lot of wear and tear on the keyboard depending on your use. Other than that i was pretty tempted by the laptop.

YES!!! I checked HN and i have got 4 harvey Norman Amex cash back.. ….so…really want to get one now!!!

          @Gerbil:

Have a look online with some wear and tear on surface pro 4 keyboards, especially the grey alcantara type cover. I dont have a major issue with it either however keep in mind that its not simply replaced like the surface pro 4 keyboards. Im a uni student and i take my surface everywhere, my second type cover is looking only slightly worn but i can easily replace it unlike the surface laptop. Everyone's use is different though but the keyboard is holding me back just slightly.

    • I've been keeping an eye on Surface Pro 4 prices for a couple of months and this is the best price I have seen, especially for local stock.

I have a Pro 3 I7/8GB and it's my primary machine. One thing I don't hear discussed often is that the I5 is actually often the faster system as the I7 tends to throttle itself down when it gets hot. If I had my time again, I'd get the I5/8GB/256GB and save the $ diff.

And yeah, excellent price there. May 23rd is the "reveal" date for the next gen Surface stuff (though my understanding is there won't be a Pro 5, as such) so it might be that they're clearing stocks in anticipation of whatever's coming next. So it might still get a bit cheaper. But it's M$ we're talking about, so, well, anything can happen.

    • You can get the i5/256gb/8gb for 1331 from the Microsoft store if you have a .edu email.

  • So tempting :(

    • YES..it is.!!!

  • Am not regretting for getting one :) I love my SP4. Sold my MacBook.

  • If only they have the fanless m3 version I'd be in.

You should probably get the Lenovo Miix 700 then. Much cheaper and looks like Chinese sibling of Surface Pro.

  • Seems to be 20% off surface books only.

  • the keyboard's price holding me off…

The Keyboard case so expensive ($249).

Surface laptop seems better in this case….ummmmm!!

    • The keyboard case can be purchased for $180-200 normally, and sometimes as low as $150. The price is inflated, presumably because ebay is subsidizing it.

I have an unopened genuine surface pro 4 keyboard I'll happily sell to you for $120 plus postage. Did the true ozbargain thing and bought it because it was on sale in anticipation of buying a surface but ended up buying an xps instead.

      • Hey Stampy, tries to send you a pvt msg but it wouldn't allow me to send as your settings wouldn't allow for it. Anyway I'd he happy to take the keyboard if it's available!

  • "Deal example: Surface Book with Performance Base - 512GB / Intel Core i7" showed as AU $4,399.00.
Is the discount after coupon code? which code?

    Or is it targeted?

Why can't I see the 20% off price currently shows full price. Gone to check out and price hasn't changed.

  • I know its a decent price but harvey norman had 20 off deal before and doing it now.
When i saw there web sites it seems cheaper at jb or hn even with the ebay 5% off.
Just out of curiosity, why would you consider buyinh it from ms when you could get it cheaper at other local stores??
    Much appreciate an answer!
