  • Do we seriously need to sign up to get a postage quote?

    From the FAQ:
Shipping if required is charged at $5 for Perth metro area, $12 for West Australia Country and $19 Australia Wide, regardless of order size. We reserve the right to refuse / change price for very large orders. Or you can pick up your purchace from our store in Osborne Park.

  • If buying two it works out around $73 each after postage (to Eastern states) and credit card or Paypal surcharges. Good value if picking up, not that great if having it posted.

    • $70 ea by my calculation - $59 * 2 + $19 + 2.3% = 140.15 so I will stick with Hatachi drives for $75

Paypal surcharges? I thought it was against PP policy for sellers to charge a fee (or is that just on ebay)

  • It is a excellent deal for Perth people like myself!

  • Better yet, get 1.5TB for $92. (2TB is $140)

  • $19 for postage I'm out….. and Extra Visa, Mastercard and AMEX Credit cards attracts 2.3% surcharge. Diners 4%

Anyone know of better prices with less postage?

I'm glad they have "Image for illustration purposes only" in really small faint print cause I would hate to receive the IDE drive pictured.

  • yeah, deal gets lost on postage, waaay too expensive then.

Not for those of us in WA. We miss out on a lot of the bargains available to the Eastern States either walk in only (fluidtek) or due to inflated postage costs.
      Keep it up Netplus

      • what is the actual point of inflated postage costs? Isn't it the same cost to post a package anywhere in aus anyway?
this just sortof limits the amount of buyers to particular states.

  • Strange. I can't seem to complete my checkout.
I registered but every time I click on check out it just takes me to the front page and logs me right out -__-"

  • hard drives are getting cheaper nowadays!

  • This was on yesterday too. I posted this in the forums last night…

I got OfficeWorks in Fairy Meadow (NSW, 2519) to price match this today. With the extra 5% off it came to $74.10. MSY have them for $72 but the only store I can get to easily and cheaply is Ultimo and they didn’t have it in stock. OW won’t match MSY and the guy I talked to actually said they had “blacklisted” them and that he used to use them to price match but couldn’t anymore.

I thought this might be a good option for someone else not in a capital city that has access to OW and doesn’t want to wait for shipping, etc. Yes, I know there is a 64MB Cache version but beggars can’t be choosers.

I can upload a copy of the receipt if anyone needs it. :)

“blacklisted” MSY ? I'm not a big fan of either but this makes me a bit angry to know that OW can still boldly advertise to match any identical stocked item at 5% less. Hasn't anyone already reported their experience of this false advertising to fair trade yet ?

      • AFAIK these aren't identical products…
These here are the bare drives and the ones that OW (at least in the NSW I know are the retail packages, with the retail packaging and what not)

        • +1

It's fair if they don't match between retail and OEM packs of an item, but to put a blanket "blacklist" on someone who can consistently source most items (identical items) cheaper and refuse to match their price… wouldn't that be false advertising ?
It would be half decent if they would state the fine print (eg. "Excludes trade quotes", etc…) but they don't even bother.

  • $71.90 at GoComp here in Brisbane, and $72 at MSY.

$78 shipped from NetPlus is not a good price. Pick up price is great though. WA bargain only.
