MUJI Save 10% off Total Purchase (Sydney Only)

80

Just saw this on my Instagram feed!
Take a photo of a MUJI product and post to your instagram and then just show your post when you pay at the counter and they will discount 10%.
Only condition i can see is it's only at their Sydney store, they won't allow discount on already discounted items (pretty standard) and they won't let you order furniture from Japan with the discount (kinda sucks).

Still… not too bad if you wanna buy some things they never seem to discount like the bean bag or new fashion items.

They also have a competition running on Facebook which I posted in the competition section - worth a look.

EDIT: For those wondering, this is some information about MUJI: http://www.muji.com/au/about/

What's a Muji? SOunds like Xiaomi products?

    • "Muji (無印良品 Mujirushi Ryōhin?) is a Japanese retail company which sells a wide variety of household and consumer goods.

Muji is distinguished by its design minimalism, emphasis on recycling, avoidance of waste in production and packaging, and no-logo or "no-brand" policy.

The name Muji is derived from the first part of Mujirushi Ryōhin, translated as No Brand Quality Goods on Muji's European website.[3]" Wikipedia

In fact some of Xiaomi's products seem to copy Muji products.

If you're into Japanese design products, they are quite popular in Asia.

The easiest way to put it is that Muji is sort of like a Ikea x Kmart store all over Japan

      • Ah thanks! Never heard of them.

      • +1

price in MUJI is well above ikea or kmart.

one is a japanese minimalist design company, the other pumps out cheap shitty chinese electronics.

      • cheap shitty chinese electronics

        how shitty?

        • -2

I dunno, what scale are we using?

fairly shitty? somewhere in the middle of 'bin in 3 months' and 'explodes in your pocket'?

          @jjcf:

As far as I know, the smartphones have more reports on explodes are iPhones and Note 7. The Redmi Note 3 has become the most liked device in android community. Also I read the Xiaomi Robot Clean being the best product on the market from tech review sites.

That is why I am interested in how shitty the electronic products Xiaomi offers atm.

      • I was thinking of Xiaomi Mijia line.

people a a little sensitive today eh? Must be Winter's bring on that neg'ing feeling

      • Thank you!

  • stationery is quite good. It's a pity they don't have much food items.

I like their bean bag but its too expensive for what it is..

    • Yeah it is expensive, but at least the price includes the fill.

    • +1

once you convince yourself to part with the cash though and use it for a week, you'll realise why it was so expensive. they last forever, and are sooooooo comfy. I saved up for one and my friends are all saving up for one now too haha

If you are in Melbourne, Chadstone shopping centre has a shopping event on tomorrow night and Muji is listed as one of the retailers. Spend $50, get 10% off. Spend $150, get 15% off. Spend $250, get 20% off. It does say conditions apply see in store - so it may exclude items such as those on sale.

    • thanks for this info
