Tiger Airways Australia announced plans to release 100,000 fares from AUD9.95 inclusive of taxes and charges and baggage across the whole Australian network.

The AUD9.95 fares include all taxes and charges, 15 kg of check in baggage and 7 kg of carry on baggage. In announcing the plan, Mr Chris Ward, Managing Director, Tiger Airways Australia, said “the entry of Tiger Airways has put the cat amongst the pigeons. When we go on sale it is not a gimmick of a couple of tickets. This time we are offering 100,000 seats so everyday Australians can snare a low low fare.”

Fares are available from 14-Feb-08 until Oct-08 or until sold out.

    Yay - picked up flights for $9.95 for my whole family from Adelaide to Melbourne and then return as well…

    Ironic thing is that my 12 month old baby has the most expensive fair (standard $30 charge for an infant).

    Still very good!

        For domestic flights usually under 2 yo is free. For international flights they usually only charge you 10% for under 2. At least this is from my experience so far…

    Yep - on other domestic flights it's always been infants for free… but with $9.95 flights I'm not complaining! Just something to keep in mind for the future!
