Sunshine Coast - post cyclone

We are planning for a holiday in Sunshine Coast sometimes in early June for 4-6 days (family friendly trip), do you think it's a good idea, consider the area just swept by the cyclone in March?

Thanks!

it's fine. I live 50 kms south of the sunshine coast.

  • It's fine that's happened once in the 4 hearts I've been here and our wasn't that bad. Just strong winds
    Will probably rain

  • Sunshine Coast local here. There was no cyclone here. It was only an ex cyclone by the time it got here. Unlike Airlie Beach our trees still have their leaves. You'll be lucky to find any evidence of the ex-TC.

But even Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays are fine to visit now. Up there you might see some damaged trees, and some without leaves, and some damaged or closed buildings but really nearly everything is up and running as usual.
