  • Seems like awesome value.

  • They don't have a trimmer blade on the back, but what the heck.. They're cheap.

  • supermax? sounds dodgy… i'd rather not end up with a face covered in cuts and nicks

    • so it's not a good deal because you don't like the name……..?

@andy no, it's not a good deal because these razors are not of sufficient quality. as stewballs said, razor blades are one thing even tightass people should not skimp on, especially people such as myself who must shave on a daily basis. buy these razors if you want, but don't come crying to me when you have sweet shaving rash and have a five o clock shadow by midday.

          so you've used them?
know anyone that has used them?

Opinions are not reasons to vote negative.

      Negative removed as per guidelines.

I'm as tight as a fish's backside, but the one thing I won't skimp on is razors!!!

A mate who's an importer gave me a trial bag of what looked like exact imitiations of a good quality brand-name razor that he intended to supply to Franklins stores; looks were very deceiving, the first & only one I used almost took my face off! :o

Not saying these would be that bad, but once bitten… ;)

  • dunno about the quality of them, but i know razors are unjustifiably overpriced in general terms here in aus. I even buy replacement cartridges on ebay cos they are so dear in stores. In light of that, this seems good value.

    • Be careful you're not buying fake blades…

  • How tightly are the blades spaced next to each other? I've used some other brand in the past, I think it had 5 blades, but they were very hard to clean. I actually prefer Gilette Mach 3, although right now I am using the Fusions cause they vibrate.

These look like the exact same razors I got with my Jim Beam Racing Supermax Gift Set from catchoftheday for xmas last year-

    http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/2_x_Jim_Beam_Racing_Supermax…

They were pretty good razors but I normally just buy some of the cheapest razors I can find or some decent ones if they are on special. I just bought some of these SuperMax Razors then.

If you buy a the razors you also have the option of buying 6 x SuperMax Ultimate Shave Gel or foam for $10 with no more postage added

  • Razors are so darn expensive in the shops, I'll give these a go!

  • Razors are something people should be wary about since you can get a lot of skin damage from using the wrong type plus all sorts of other problems with cuts etc. But from what i can gather this is actually a well known brand overseas.

    • reading their website blurb, they are the 2nd biggest manufacturers in the world, and 1 in 5 people shave with supermax blades….

      • -1

        i refuse to believe that.

        • manufacturer, not brand. They may make the razors sold as Schick etc.

Who are the worlds biggest computer makers? Not Dell, HP or Apple, but the likes of Compal and Foxconn.

  • +1

No less than six-blades for me. And an Aloe-Vera strip. With wings.

    • Time to man up freddy, admit you like them ribbed, for your pleasure! :p

  • From my personal experience, my face tends to suffer much MORE when I use the big brand name things with excessive quantities of blades and all the other crap that goes with it. I tend to have the least problems with the $11 pack of 18 disposable Schick twin blades from Kmart. If I didn't have plenty on hand from the last special they had, I would certainly give these things a go.

  • Clean and oil your razors after use and they'll stay sharp for longer. At least two months!

  • You can read some reviews of SuperMax razors here:
    http://reviews.dollartree.com/0550/982128/reviews.htm

You can see that in the U.S., bargain shops sell them in bulk at 3 for $1.

  • Damn I just got this email-

Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your purchase of the "24 x Quad-blade SuperMax Razors". We are terribly sorry for the delay with your order. This delay was due to stock issues. The stock we received from our supplier had some 3 blade razors mixed up amongst the thousands of boxes. This has resulted in us having insufficient stock to fulfill orders in a couple of batches with the quad-blade razors. Unfortunately your order was in one of these batches. All our efforts of sourcing more were to no avail.

We would normally cancel your order and organise a refund, but figured that you may still be interested in the 3 blade razors. Each razor comes with a lubricated strip with Aloe and Vitamin E. It has the same ergonomic design, but with a more attractive blue/grey coloured handle.

At $9.95 for 24x 3-blade razors it is still a bargain. While both the 3 and 4 blade razors were clearance items and costs the same, we can understand if you are not interested in the 3 blade razor pack. Please let us know by 5pm Friday (17 Sep 2010) if you would like to cancel and get a refund for the razors.

If you are happy to proceed with the 3-blade razors, no further communication is required, we will have your order processed over the weekend and have it shipped out asap. Your patience and understanding on this matter is much appreciated. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
    Kind Regards,
    Pooven

  • FYI, Supermax are also available in NQR stores (VIC) for those that want to try them.
    One pack (4 x 4-blade razors) is $3.99
