        It's remarkably similar . My son plays both and Paladins looks like Overwatch's poor cousin but on the same hand you could probably run it on a potatoe computer .

          They are both based off TF2 while taking ideas from other games (like Pudge from Dota). The devs actually admitted that and that they'd been in development years before Overwatch announcement and that they had to add more and different features to the game so they aren't just labeled as an Overwatch clone.

      It's pretty good, though depends what you want from a shooter/game. Looks good and runs well.
      They have events during some holidays (Christmas, Halloween etc) which can be very fun.

      But take note, there's no single player missions or modes in this, unless you count bots. It's all online and team based. Probably need XBL/PS Plus to play it as well.

      It's bloody great. Heaps of fun and all the different character dynamics during gameplay are really good.

      It's the only game I've been playing recently, but trying to ween myself off video games pretty much all together.

    Awesome game . I play with my son . I was a staunch TF2 player but this is the game that dethroned it for me .

        Don't think so. Game is full price at present so will only go free trial during the period. Maybe check earlier that day / night before. That's what I'll be doing just in case.

    Very short software trials are not freebies - they are advertising material.

    The site needs a separate trial tag rather than freebie.

          There should be a separate tag for software trials as they are advertising material. It's unethical for a software company to use a site like this offering freebies when it's a trial designed to get people to purchase the product at full price.

          Well no.. you made a pretty silly comparison, so I thew the onus back on you and you did not deliver.

          It's a bit weird that you haven't understood the difference between something that is actually free with a tangible value (freebie tag) vs a short trial of software with no tangible dollar value for advertising purposes (should be a separate tag than freebie - 'trial' tag).

          There's times when software is actually free on this website either for a lifetime or an established licence term with a tangible dollar value. It's common sense and ethical too that actual 'freebies' on this site should be distinguishable from advertising/trial products.

          besides, your analogy is broken. test drives are commonly accepted as standard practice. you can walk into any dealership, any day of the week, with the reasonable expectation of being able to test drive any of their models (unless we are talking about super cars). you can't do that with overwatch. it's a free trial for a limited time. test drives are not free for a limited time, they're free all the time.

          but even so, if it's something this community perceives as valuable, then why does it matter? same situation with the Nintendo Classic Minis. You would have a few vocal people that would have a cry every time, but the posts would get hundreds of upvotes - indicating the vast majority of the OzBargain community WANTS those posts, regardless of whether they were technically bargains or not.

          Notice how it is actually free compared to a short trial that is this listing? It's an actual freebie, this deal just isn't.

          I'm glad I triggered a lot of people to the point of delving into post history and them getting into knots splitting hairs over an analogy.. You all know a short trial isn't a freebie but you try and use semantics to attach a non tangible dollar value to advertising material for some reason.

          I wonder if it wasn't TA who posted this deal if there would have been such a push back against a very valid criticism of using the 'freebie' tag.

    I had to be convinced by a friend to buy this. "I'm never going to play it" I thought. I was so wrong. I think I've got 400 hours in quickplay and competitive modes.

    I haven't enjoyed Comp season 4 though​, due to Blizzards lack of care re: trolls, throwing, verbal abuse. Also my personal performance maybe not so good - have hit masters three times and fallen back into diamond each time. Finding it hard to climb - sometimes it's due to team performance​ but more often it's a thrower or someone trolling and also not in voice channel. Those looking to diamond or master to cure their comp woes will not find anything​ -it happens at all ranks. At least season will be over soon.

    Still, a fantastic game.

      I was like you, soon as Overwatch was released i was so keen but didn't want to pay full price. You wont regret the purchase thats for sure :)

      Ozgameshop has it for $62 on PC or CDkeys for $54 - Not sale prices but cheapest I've found.

      It's just incredibly well balanced. There is about 20 different characters and there is at least one that each player will enjoy. It's also incredibly hard to dominate and team wipe as each character counters another.

      Only game I have ever prestiged.

    Warning: Once you start playing this game, you won't stop. Before this game my wife wasn't a gamer at all, now she plays more than I do. Blizzard have perfected digital crack. Overwatch, not even once.

    I can finally try this game to see if it's worth the $60… I can't even remember the last time I enjoyed an FPS game, maybe Halo 3 multiplayer? But if this has the magic Blizzard touch like their other games it has to be worth a try.

        I'm up and running with it now. Have to say the range of Heroes is pretty overwhelming!!! I'm going to gravitate to maybe one per class for now. I really enjoy playing as D.VA so far.

    This is $39 (on the PC) at JB Hi Fi and my wife managed to get EB to price match. They had a right game though, including phoning another branch to figure out how to put it through at $39. They ended up putting it through at $80 or their abouts) and then applying the 50% discount.

    The joys of a newbie: so far witnessed one team talking smack, forgetting they're all rank 20+ vs average rank 5 in the other team. ASCII text from a group of neckbeards doesn't bother me though, but does prompt me to wonder how good the ranked match making is. In one game there was a bunch of rank 5s along with one rank 75.

    Enjoying the game so far, despite a string of failures. Might play against the bots for a while though, they're perfect gentlemen ;)

      The match making is pretty good but can be confused in my experience. Playing with my friend that sucks puts me in the weirdest teams til I play alone for a while and it sorts itself out.

      There's 2 possibilities that I can see in your example: Either the level 5s were smurfs and have already played the game or the level 75 was really garbage and the 5s are actually new.

      My smurf account is level 7 and it's putting me with level 300s so the game's figured out where I'm at pretty fast skill wise.
