Gaming PC recommendation under $1500

Hi all,

I don't know much about computers although I'm looking for a gaming PC that will last for a few years and play with high settings.

My budget is under $1500 although a little tiny bit more wouldn't hurt.

The ones I've come across are as follows:

http://www.msy.com.au/SYSTEMS/intelgaming2.pdf

I know that most options do not come with Windows 10.

What does everyone think?

If you could please help, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

MSY is a great place to source components. Do a little research and buy them individually, then watch a few youtube instructionals and get a better machine for the same price.

Logical Increments will get you started.

you copied the MSY build twice.

Well, the first link (Ryzen system) is actually a pretty decent build.

If what you wanted out of a PC was a processor that can handle both gaming and productivity tasks (like video editing) Ryzen 7 will knock the socks off of a Core i7 processor.

If all you did was gaming, you could get by with a much cheaper Ryzen 5 (1600x) or a KabyLake Core i5-7500

    GTX1070 + Intel I5 7500 $1578
Can get under $1500 easy with a couple small changes

isn't hard at all to build and plenty of guides and people around to help you out.
this will smash anything with a GTX 1060 or an RX 480

  • Thanks everyone for all the advice!

I'm actually considering trying to build it myself. Never attempted it although I'll give it a shot.

    Thanks :)

I would choose the first one.
If they offer upgrade options for the memory, it would be even better.
8G memory for me is a bit small.
