Jees between that and EA Access my 'Ready to Install' list is gonna be crazy!

      • Don't know about you, but not too long ago all my EA games were removed from ready to install and I had to access them through the EA Access app thing. That might help you.

I mean, I hate downloading useless apps when the old way worked fine, but if you've got a lot of clutter.

    • +2

Love the concept and pricing, but as someone that has owned a 360 for a decade it's a bit too heavy on the 360 titles and light on the One games for now. Hopefully we see more recent titles pop up soon.

Bit surprised they didn't include Gears of War 4 or ANY Forza titles.

  • +1

    so $20 for Australia?

  • +2

I was in the alpha for this a couple of months back. It's great value for money.

    • +5

If you have to pay for this and pay for XBL Gold I don't agree that it's 'great value'.

      • +5

You can't expect everything for nothing.

        • True, video games are an expensive hobby, if people just dont have money for it, the hobby might be too pricey for them. Simple as that. Just because the site is Ozbargain does not mean everything will cost next to nothing or "free". These companies need to make money and to pay people too. There is always mobile gaming for those that require something a little less pricey.

      • +2

I still think it's great value.

XBL is your price of admission to premium and largely uninterrupted online gaming services, the games for gold lottery and 100s of other things less important to me but important to some.

To that point, someone has to pay for the cloud, servers and engineers. Offsetting the cost is the Games for Gold lottery which gives a player a free XB1, XB360 and Indie game for free each month. Not bad for ($4-$5 a month).

Game Pass is your very reasonable price of admission to transiently "own" and play games. Much better for the consumer.

        • Not @ $10 p/m… EA Access is around $45 per year. Same/similar pricing should apply to this IMO.

      • +1

You don't have to pay for Gold. Thats seperate other than the fact you miss out on early access and will have to wait until next week to sign up as opposed to doing so today.

You'll need Gold for online play still of course, but if you're primarily a single player type of person then feel free to just grab the Pass membership. Given how many of these titles are 360 releases, I'd assume many have pretty small to no online communities anyway, although that'll vary game to game.

  • +1

They are going to have to add better titles than that to get people taking up ongoing subscriptions @ $131.4/year

    • Exactly, many of these were given away free at some point too. Most are dirt cheap too and many long term gold members would own alot. It's geared towards new people, trying to get PS4 owners to take up.

  • Hmmm, does this give you an Xbox live gold membership as well? Or is that on top of this?

Not enough good games to tempt me.

  • Looks like all games released on games with gold

  • I never pay for Plus or Gold outside of offers when a month is a dollar or two, or free.

If they somehow bundled this with Gold down the line, like throw GWG out the window and replace it with this, I'd be throwing money at the screen.

Good deal, too bad my Gold trial expired a week or so back, definitely gonna take advantage though when I finally finish up the Master Chief Collection and wanna burn through Guardians.

  • Need to get a bigger hard drive!
I've never own an Xbox console until the One S so this is awesome for me to catch up on older titles.
I'll never find the time of day to play. but the games listed here are better than the EA vault imho.

    • The perfect person for this. If you had a 360 since 2006 or so, it'd be very questionable.

    • +1

Huge price difference though when EA Access can be had for A$27 or A$28 a year vs $130 per annum for this.

    • Good list! Last year probably more than a few OzBargainers would have also got Joy Ride Turbo free via the Walmart deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/255762) and Max:The Curse of Brotherhood free via the Microsoft JP store Gold deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/283326).

    • FYI the version of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons available on the pass is the Xbox One version of the game, which I think is just a port, but I thought it worth pointing out as it was the 360 version that was offered through GWG.

        Thanks. :-)
Unfortunately edit time's expired on my comment so I can't change it. :-(

    • A bunch of the non highlighted are worth it id say, "gamers" are just an entitled angry internet minority at this point, who perhaps need to chill and just enjoy things for what they are, not what angry game nerd culture wants them to believe is worthwhile.

  • +1

Looks like around 80% of those titles are arcade games. As others have mentioned already, most have been either already been free or been heavily discounted at some point. I recognize many of these from the recent "backwards compatibility sale".

Personally, i would like to see a cheaper second tier to just play full retail titles or even a third tier for those just wanting arcade games. Most who have had claimed Games With Gold since it's introduction have more then enough arcade games. It's good value for those new to Xbox and not wanting to spend a lot upfront to build a digital collection but not so much for long term owners/Gold members.

  • Incredible value. $10.95 per month in Australia. We are paying less than the United States based on exchange rates.

    Bargain gaming. Kudos Microsoft.

Looked at my xbox ones historical network stats. It averages around 100gb a month in updates.

    • -4

why the negs, i dont get it

if my next post says i need food and water to survive, would that fact get negged too?

      • +2

Lol the neg voting bandwagon. Keep going nerds :)

  • Queued up like 30 games this morning I'll never play. So excited.

  • Not sure if already asked but does anyone know if the games include their DLC/Add-ons?
