The state-of-the-art stone-coated interiors are non-stick for healthy, oil-free cooking and effortless clean up. Featuring extremely hard and tough, scratch-proof coating, lock in your food’s natural flavours and bring out the true aroma of your culinary masterpiece!

No Pan hot-spots!

The Ovela Stone Coated Non-stick Cookware is forged with a super-efficient thermal conductive base which instantly radiates heat throughout the entire pan in seconds. This eliminates pan “hot-spots” and allows your food to cook evenly without the flash burning you may expect from other non-stick products.

No PTFE, No PFOA.

Ordinary non-stick pans contain chemical compounds PTFE and PFOA in their coatings that actually alter the original taste and can even leach toxins into your food. Rest assured that the Ovela Stone Coated Non-stick Cookware is PTFE and PFOA-free, and are safe to use!

  • its actually 9 piece if u count the handles too

    • …that'd be 11 piece then!

      • The box they come it makes it 12 pieces.

How bout those veggies floating around, are they included?

        • @ja72:

          No, they're not included.

        • @jv: No deal for me then!

        • @ja72:

I don't think you'd want to eat veg made in China.

        • @jv: I don't think I want to eat veggies at all come to think of it.

  • I'm tempted but have zero experience with stoneware coatings apart from the persuasive TV ads.

How good is this compared to normal non stick pans?
    Safe?
Does it last longer before wearing off?
I'm not wanting to compare to stainless steel and other non stick pans.

    • Oops - meant to say not wanting to compare with other not non-stick pans.

Newbie to the kitchen. Frankly I'd want something cheap/affordable but at a risk of your health - given cooking is long term, are these any good? they claim PFOA, PTE free. Don't know what these are but assume it's the BPA free equivalent in cooking ware.

Are stone pots and pans recommended? I guess more particularly - what are the pros and cons over those normal aluminium saucepans with teflon non stick coating?

My mum bought those granite/expensive ones from "house" that are non stick. And i think you have to annoyingly coat with some oil, or wipe it with oil once in awhile and leave it? Is this true for this sort of stone?

Or is this pretty care free? Assume you have to use a softe sponge as well given non stick (no scourer to clean). I just need a good decent big sized saucepan for frying stuff, something medium etc. So this seemed pretty cheap?

$49 on the website, assuming it's $39 if you apply the ozb code? But would love to hear from someone with extensive cookware experience (expensive stuff and this cheaper stuff) as to how this rates?
