      I see. I think it says Rent one get one free, so you need to hire two movies and only pay for one. If you only hire one movie, you still pay for one but no $5 credit for future hire.

      @edfoo: I've found these to be a $5 credit, BUT, you have to rent two movies. Our local kiosk are $4 rentals, so you get charged $3 for two movies. Cheaper than renting one. One cheap Tuesday and Thursdays, movies are $2 each. Its a $5 credit, so the TWO movies are free rental.
