Does this include ultimates or just the old jumbo ones?

    • From the picture in the catalogue it looks like it includes both.

      • Is that wipes for 1/2 price under the nappies?

  • This could be equal to the cheapest I've ever bought them.

    Thanks OP!

  • Wahoo! Thanks OP, about to run out and was worried I'd have to pay full price!!!

      What size do you wear?

      • Lol my bubs wears infant size

        • Infant size, that's pretty small.

I'm having a new born in 3 months, I'm wondering if it's worth stocking up or does nappies go on special regularly?

    • They go on special every now and then - not often at this price, and then you've got to source stock as well. I know I've been disappointed with stock gone some times

    • Congrats on your new arrival. Nappies do go on sale pretty regularly, about every 2-3 months usually I find.

That being said, you are going to go through about 1 box a week, so it's worth stocking up when they do go on sale.
This is the cheapest i've ever seen huggies so could be worth stocking up while you can if you can afford to.

The huggies newborn ones are the best I think because they have the wet strip to let you know when the nappy needs changing.

      • Thank you. This is the information I need. Also due in 3 months and my sis recommends two boxes of these new borns.

    • Have only used Huggies for both my kids (2 year old and 4 month old). Tried some other brands and we found them to not be as absorbent as Huggies, we have also experienced more leaks from other brands. In saying that, some people have had issues with Huggies and prefer Aldi or supermarket branded nappies.

$24 is pretty cheap, I think the cheapest I've seen at Coles or Woolies for Huggies would be $23 but that doesn't pop-up that often, it's usually around the $28 mark.

Don't buy too many. A newborn will grow out of th first nappy size very quickly. Aldi do great, cheap nappies as well. After about 1 year of age we use Huggies at night and aldi through the day.

      • Can keep the receipts for full box returns if need be

      • Agree with xelfer. Doesn't take long before you're jumping up a size or two! Same as clothing, 0000 to 00 in no time!
Not sure what they'd say with an old receipt, but I've had Coles and Woolies swap over boxes (item for item, just different size) without a receipt a few times!

      Congratulations!
Mine is now 7 weeks old, I've found the best is to try them and see what works best for you baby.
There's a lot of nappies out there, and what will fit and catch pooplpsions will differ from baby to baby.
We've found both huggies and aldi nappies good for our newborn.

Not a deal. This works out as 22c per nappy (for newborns). Coles Comfy Bots Nappies are 17c each, and Choice rates them higher (more absorbent) than Huggies. Aldi's are even cheaper (15c each), and Choice rates them even higher (more absorbent).

Aldi nappies have got to be the worst! Tried the pull ups and they leaked, had to wash sheets and blankets more than I liked! Returned them!

      • +1

        You returned the used ones?

        • No just the unused ones!

    • +2

One of my kids still wears nappies and for her size (Walker), the Woolworths' Little Ones actually fits better. Used to use the Comfy Bots before she moved to this size but for some reason it didn't fit her as well as Woolworths'.

The problem seems to be around the thigh area, cause it leaked when she slept with the Comfy Bots, but no leaks at all with the Little Ones.

We've been through the phase of Aldi nappies too, and they were good for a little while, but they seem to have gone down in terms of quality. Huggies is a luxury brand in my opinion, and for something that gets shit and pissed on, do you really need to spend so much? Babies (especially at the early stages) go through nappies like a fat kid with cake.

Then there's the whole issue with baby wipes…

FWIW, I've had no issues with Aldi nappies, been using them on my son for 10 months now.

That's great… Then Choice can come over and clean the s#!t from down the sides of my kid's legs and pants!!!

  • Is there anyone around that stocks Huggies who will price match?

    • -2

      Officeworks

  • Does Big W do size swaps?

    • If not, I've done it at Coles and Woolies a few times!

  • Is that wipes for 1/2 price pictured under the nappies?

    • Huggies 80 pack fragrance free wipes , half price $2.50 save $2.50.

  • +1

OMG, Huggies for $24 a box!. It hasn't been that price in at least the last year and a half. Best I've seen it is $25 a box at Big W's last big huggies sale. Huggies are the best. The rest don't compare. Of course you pay for that quality though.

  • Any idea when this catalogue will show up on their website?

    • I don't think its up until the day the catalogue actually starts.Lasoo always have them a few days earlier , might be already up there.

  • Any free shipping codes at Big W?

  • Confirmed in store at High Point, Melb. $24 per box and 5% off with gift card.

I should add: JUmbo box of huggies is included.

  • Is this offer still on as not advertised on their website! Where can bigw gift cards b purchased for extra 5%? Cheers

    • Cashrewards Woolworths gift cards is where I got my extra 5% discount
