110

For those condiering getting the Ryzen processor and board from the likes of FUtu on eBay using the 20% off coupon. This deal may be worth a look.

Using the coupon
, it would work out to be around 720 if purchased from Futu. Would cost roughly 720 from PCCg after taking into account shipping, you do however get great warranty support and customer service.

  • 20% futu deal has expired so PCCG is a good, albeit very specific alternative

    • Woops my bad. Bound to be another soon I guess.

    Been this price for ages.

Not sure about ages but I dont see why thats a problem either way. Its not been posted on OZBargain and people planning to purchase a similar bundle may have missed it.

      • At least 2 months

  • what ram goes good with this?

    • Any really, it depends on your own needs. Ryzen support for 3000+ frequencies arent particularly great atm though. Not much use for 3000+ for the average user in the first place.

      • Support for 3200+ RAM is fine as long as you only have 2x 8GB sticks. Make sure you flash the BIOS though if you want your RAM to work at the faster speeds.

        • There is a new AMD AGESA update that will allow better ram support. I'm running 32gb G.Skill Trident Z at 3333 CL14 on a Crosshair VI motherboard. Not sure if an updated bios is available for MSI board though.

  • I'm waiting for the 16 core CPUs. Intel announced theirs today at a whopping 2k US retail. Hopefully AMDs will be more reasonable in price

    • If rumors hold true then it will basically be two of the current 8 cores joined together.

    $232

With postage you save $3.76 compared to PCCG's posted price of $720

    nothing special at all.

    • Did you bother to read OP at all? The price isnt the biggest factor, its the service.

Megabuy are not known for great service. Up to you if you are happy to accept worse service to sale a few bucks. Each to their own.

You must be new, Ozbargain is all about price.

        • Am new indeed. OZbargain should be about getting what you pay for.

Then again I guess you do with Megabuy.

          @RappyGreens:
These are not some cheap Chinese phones they are made by reputable companies you always have the option to go straight to the manufacturer for warranty.

@Axelstrife: and often that costs extra or can be very complicated.

Lets just agree to disagree. Each to their own, no point arguing about it.
