Is there any benefit to keeping all of the phone plans that have come out recently in the same place?

We don't even have a mobile phone plan tab under "mobile" as far as I can see.

I'm looking to move plans, but can't make neither head nor tail out of which plan is the best factoring price, data and coverage.

BTW, I'm happy to help compile.

I'll help you. KOGAN for the best price haha. There are a few more ways to even get the plan cheaper.

      • Depends if you want international roaming or not. Can't beat $5 roaming.

  • Just what I need bro thanks

  • +1

They also have 14GB of Data with Overseas Calls 1000 Minutes & 300 Minutes included for the same price $45.

  • Still prefer to save $15-$20 a month with Kogan.

    • +3

Yep, $26/month (if you pay 365 days up front) with Kogan for 14GB/month. Much better value and same network.

And around $21/month for the 10GB/month.

      • +5

Even cheaper with referral, buying from flybuys/virgin estore & discounted kogan gift cards.

        • I don't suppose you'd care to expand on that? I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on 365 days Kogan but if there's an even further discount to be had I'm all ears :)

        • +1

@Click_It: haha ok PM-ing you now.

        • @tajid:

          Cheers :D

        • @tajid: do you mind PM'ing me too? Sorry, but it'll help. I'm definitely getting the 365 Kogan deal!

        • +2

@kiriakoz: sent mate. Hope it helps, roughly $30-$35 more saving on a $200 plan.

        • @tajid mind sending me a PM too?

        • @tajid

Can you please pm me as well

        • +1

@sirmeathead: Welcome to Ozbargain. You would need to turn on your PM setting first.

        • [@tajid]

No worries. Thank you. Give me a moment.

        • @tajid: Done!

        • Hi, I am also interested in the kogan deal.. could you kindly pm me how i can get discounted kogan egift cards etc thanks in advance!!!

        • Any chance of getting a PM too? :)

My Telstra 12 month contract finishes next month and their plans aren't very competitive. Itching to make the switch since this is so cheap.

        • +1

@ozb1986: haha PM setting is off mate :)

        • @tajid:

Please send me pm too tajid. Thanks!

        • @tajid: Any chance you can PM me as well mate? Thanks

      • needing another PM here too :)

        • your PM isn't on either lol and pls reply to my comment directly so I get notification.

        • @tajid:
          soz ill try again

    • Gday mate, could you also PM me with the details please? Thanks ally

  • Very good plan for data users. I am on optus $40 10gb plan. Hope Telstra & optus try to give similar or better.

If anyone wants to have a number just for incoming or rare outgoing, amaysim pay as you go is still best. Literally will cost you $0 to keep the number as long as you want.

    • I have a dual sim phone now and will be needing a 2nd sim for those rare purposes, I was going to buy Aldi $5 (lasts 365 days) but Amaysim is even better? This deal is full of useful information :)

Great first time post and welcome to Ozbargain :)

  • hi can some one please post the discount code for kogan here
    thx

    • welcome onboard suranga. What do you mean by discount code? Could you turn your pm on so other can pm you?

  • I went with 12GB of data with the 1000 & 300 minutes for $41. Great deal, I was currently paying $50 for 10GB with unlimited calls and texts overseas. I do need the overseas calls for work/family calls (definitely don't need unlimited though) and the roaming package makes all of the cheaper deals, such as Kogan a no go for me.

Think the most I've ever used in a month is 6-7GB, and only because I accidentally left holiday snaps synching with one drive while tethered over 4G. How does everyone use so much mobile data?! I pay zero attention to what I use.

  • hi tajid
i cant/dont know how to turn pm on. i just joined and i think i have to wait 1 day before i can pm or change pm setting. i mean any coupon on kogan deal as you said can save another 30-40 dollars??

    • Go to my account, settings, messaging, tick allow PM. Unfortunately forum policy doesn't allow me to post the tips I have on this section of the forum. It is not a simple discount code, there are 4 steps required to save the $30-$35.

      • Hi tajid, can I get a pm too for the kogan deal?
        Thanks

  • After being screwed around by Telstra AGAIN, I'm now seriously considering switching to this deal and I'll save like $30/mth.

Just need to work out what Vodafone reception is like at home. Optus is non-existant and Telstra is "just good enough". Quite insane for a suburb <20km from the CBD!

    • You'll find Vodafone will beat them both in my experience. You can get a free sim delivered from their website. Give it a go on prepaid :)

Also $5 roaming is the best on holidays.

Actually, that's a great idea. I might go pick one up today. Thanks for the tip.
