[XB1] 20% off All Xbox Games Pass Titles with Xbox Games Pass Subscription (or Trial)

90

I know there has been a deal for Xbox Games Pass already, but it didn't mention this (which I think is the best part).

When you sign up for a trial of (or pay for) Xbox games pass, you get 20% off all games in the pass. Therefore, if you wish to purchase a game that is included in the pass, you can sign up for the trial, and purchase the game for 20% off the listed xbox store price, then cancel the trial before you are charged.

Here are some examples of titles that can be purchased at a discount:

Mad Max USD$14.99 (USD$4 off) on US store
Blood Bowl 2 AU$43.96 (AU$10.99 off)
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons AU$31.96 (AU$7.99 off)
DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition AU$31.96 (AU$7.99 off)

A lot of the titles can be found cheaper elsewhere as physical copies, but there are a couple of good deals to be had. This is also good for gamers who prefer digital.

As a note, much better deals can be found using this method on the US or other region stores (as per the Mad Max deal above).

This deal can be combined with xbox store sales to maximize discount.

  • Blood Bowl 2 AU$43.96 (AU$10.99 off)

DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition $19

20% Off RRP off old games isn't good.

    • Did you read the post?

      • Probably list the deals then. Also most of the games were free with GWG or are always on discount during weekly sales, so might be worth holding out.

        • From what I can see, these are the cheapest prices for the digital versions of these games, so they are deals.

        • @Rusty4: From your reasoning the whole Xbox digital store is a deal.

        • -1

@Gehirn: Not really, many (most) games can be found digitally elsewhere, and a lot of times they are cheaper.

      • Yes read the deal. Still thought it was good to post comparitive pricing.

        • They are different products though as the prices you posted are physical disks. I'm sure it doesn't mean much to some, but to others it does.

    • I do believe the 20% applies to titles on sale though, so deals will pop up now and then as this stacks with additional prices.

      • yes, i understand this also - hence why i didn't neg the deal.

  • +1

Wait for the Winter sale and sign up for the trial to enjoy 20% off the sale prices.

    Maximum discount achieved this way.

Example: Halo 5 on sale for $25 drops to $20.

    • Yeah, but that makes this merely a hypothetical future deal. There is no deal right now

      • Halo will go on sale, it always does, and the sake Will likely start within a few weeks anyway.

Games pass sucks. They kind of touted it like the EA access pass but it's just another subscription for further discounts or something?

We already have games with Gold…..

There are some free ones but not worth it.

Subscribe to free trial, cancelled within 10 mins

    • There are 100+ xbox one/360 games to play for free. It is exactly like ea access, but more expensive (and more titles). It's not worth the price IMO, but you can't go wrong with the trial. For people who don't have the games or are new to the microsoft/xbox ecosystem, I could see it being worth it.

      • EA access has bigger make games in it. The Xbox game pass has kind of the rejects included, stuff people aren't buying anyway.

It's no different to games with Gold imo
