    • The on/off switch was the biggest fail for me with the pxc-550. I wish they just had a simple switch would have kept them over the bose.

      • You just tap once to turn off. Tap again to turn it on. Also double tap to stop noise cancelling.
        If you mean initial twist to turn on/ off from storage, well once you get used to it, it is very nice- no searching for buttons.
        Case could be better.

          Yeah sorry wasn't clear, the twist on/off is what I meant. If you don't carry in the case you can end up with a dead battery and it just seems like it could be a point of failure down the track. But I guess everything has its trade offs i.e. sq with the Bose.

  • I know the problem that people may be talking about. The rotation coupling wear the headphone sits within the headband mount can wear to a point it just falls out. Its plastic in plastic. This is what happened to my old Sony MDR-ZX750 headphones. My Sony MDR-1R MK2 has a metal coupling, I think. It does feel stronger, better build quality.
