Non-Stick Oven Dish - Best bang for buck?

Hey guys,

My girlfriend and I have been together for 6 years, this coming July.

She LOVES cooking, but I'm not the kind of guys to pay big dollars for cookware, so our oven trays and pretty crap (those old porcelain type dishes that you need to steel wool to get clean).

I'm looking at buying her some nice new pans, but not too sure what to look at.

We have a ScanPan fry pan, and it's great! But the roasting trays are nearly S150 each. I don't mind the price, as long as they are good.

Has anybody used/owned a ScanPan oven tray or can steer me towards a better brand?

Thanks :)

  • I have a set of Scanpan. They're really great in my opinion. Definitely worth the money, but heaps better on sale. I also bought an essteele pan recently (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/300750) and it's fantastic for cooking. Not much sticks, and the few things that do are super easy to get off after a soak, or quick boil & cool with some vinegar and water. Mrs loves the shape of the handles, of all things! Easier to grab apparently.. I ain't never buying 'non-stick' again. Also, I got some 4.5l Pyrex baking trays which are a great size from bigw. Only place I found selling that size.

I have tried a few brands, and pretty much all of them stick even when sprayed with oil. I now use a plain stainless steel pan and line it with baking paper. Never sticks, super easy to remove.
