Sennheiser Momentum in-Ear (Both iOS and Android) - $98 Harvey Norman (All)

90

Sennheiser Momentum In-Ear.

Just scored myself a pair. No coupon needed just order online or walk in and grab a pair as part of their mid year sale.

These review well and were awarded the "2016 In-ear headphones - Product of the year" by WhatHiFi.

Edit (re comments): The included buds fit me fine! They sound great - Nice transparent sound. Bass keeps up nicely too without muddying the mids or highs. Can be listened to loudly also without sounding harsh. Definitely recommended at full $150, at $98 it's a no brainer.

  • is this better than shure 215? or 1more?

    • According to the reviews, yes.

After listening to them. Yes to the shure215. Never auditioned the 1more so can comment on those personally.

Great price. I'd recommend buying foam tips for them though - the stock ones are pretty loose. And they have smaller than normal diameter to others so no swap with the other buds I have.

    • +2

I have weird ears and I've used the foam tips, it's just such a pain having to spend extra money on the tips and then the tips break down and you have to buy more. Why can't they just make decent tips that come with them ffs

      • Yeah I agree. It would be easier to take if they were a standard size earbud, but they are rare.

just going to say that these are great earphones, but are seriously flawed… the ear tips do not stay on, as the metal barrel is slippery every time i went to removed the from my ears the ear tips would remain in their. Much of the time it was to a degree that i need to use tweezers to remove them :( Was a shame, i liked them and the way they sounded, however they were returned in the end.

"Discount price no retail package" lol. The internet is infested with fakes. Not saying the ones you linked are fake. Just saying be careful - no retail box means no Sennheiser Authenticity hologram to check.

    • There's a fair few comments for that seller talking about them being fake. I especially liked this latest response:

B: "FAKE earphones. Compared with my real ones. Seller does not deny they are fake."

"What i can do except refund if buyer say it is fake. I cannot deny anything"

      At least he's honest… ;-)

But yeah, more than half the price for fakes. I know which I'd choose.

  • Good quality iem that I wear while sleep? Low profile? This one's doesn't look quite low to me. Damn.

    • They definitely aren't low profile, they don't stick out too far but definitely too far to sleep on.

      • i use my Shure's everywhere my favourites by a long shot and like everything you get what you pay for.

I actually prefer them to noise cancelling in a lot of cases because they actually do a great job on the noise isolation side instead.

They do fit in most peoples ear, I use mine to listen to stuff while i fall asleep and can keep them in all night. no sore ears first pair i've found that can do that

You can also get them taken to an ear specialist to have a mould made of your ear specs of whats required in the box and Shure will make you a custom set of plugs that ensure you get the maximum out of them "you often see them on TV hosts with the custom mould"

Music and good quality audio is a must have for me one thing i don't compromise on and i won't compromise on audio formats that can't deliver the full range. Shure 535's have full range reproduction so they were about the best you can get when these finally die i'd go back for more, i'd even go as far as moving to the next level up with the 846 without batting an eyelid

Sennheiser are a great quality brand and produce some great products from the ones i've owned to date

        • thanks so much for the info.
however, i can only afford cheap IEMs since i already pour in thousands dollar on my desktop audio setup.

when it comes to IEM, I only care: outdoor use(i don't want to bring my headphone out), quick use(phone call, skype), sleeping ASMR maybe. In short functionality over sound quality.

I wish there is something around 100$ range for me. xD

        • @Hornpub: the 215's are around that mark they are the entry level ones, sound good, comfortable and same size as the others just the specs on components differ.

there aren't many over ear headphones that would come close to the mid and high range models of these and the 215's would fit your description above

        • @Toons:

thanks so much, now the hunt for this model begin.

          http://www.shure.com/americas/products/earphones/se-earphone…

          is this the same one?

        • @Hornpub: yep those are the ones all models in the range look similar just more clarity and better sound response the higher you go

  • I have the SE215m+SPE and best ever set I have. SE215m+SPE comes with Remote + Mic and is more expensive than the SE215. I must admit it takes practice to put these on and it does isolate alot of external noises. I tried these while driving with my windows fully open and 80% volume and I hardly here the wind nor cars driving next to me. Highly recommended but again, it is very personal.
