The bloke absolutely rorted the COVID payments and is the main reason we pay GST on sub-$1k online purchases. $1 is a very small cost to vote against someone who is actively working against your interests.

While annoying, it’s a real stretch to call them useless.
I’d argue these are some of the most impressive tech on the market. No other semi-open earbud can do ANC near this level, nor retain similar levels of bass/warmth in the frequency response.
I have the Pro 3’s but still use the 4ANC’s most of the time.

This or airpods pro 3? Missus has birthday on the weekend and i need a gift.
I prefer these for everyday use where NC is beneficial but not critical (office environments, walking around). Not being in ear allows for ease of use and breathability.
If its for public transport travel on buses, trains or planes, I think the APP3's are more suitable.

They're both earphones, but 'in-ear' has evolved to mean earphones which have rubber/silicone/foam fitting which pushes into the ear canal to seal from exterior noise. These just sit in the ear but don't have any form of seal.
I think they are referring to sealed vs unsealed contact to your ears
"In ear" in the audio world specifically refers to a tip, silicon or otherwise which is inserted inside your ear canal and would offer some degree of passive noise isolation. The 4s are earbuds which sit right at the entrance to your ear canal without actually going "in"
It really comes down to if she wants in ear or not.
